Elle a grandit dans l'Amérique ségrégationniste, et a réussi à poursuivre des études supérieures (j'imagine même pas la difficulté). #AngelaDavis
Elle a étudié la littérature et la philosophie française (elle parle français). Et a été très intéressée par .... la révolution française (vous savez, ces émeutes qu'on célèbre aujourd'hui parce qu'il y a pas de raison d'être cohérent) ! #AngelaDavis
Elle a été membre des Black Panther, mouvement révolutionnaire luttant pour les droits des afro-américains.
Son fait majeur a été d'être associée à une prise d'otage qui tourne mal. Mais elle est finalement acquitée après avoir passé 16 mois en prison. #AngelaDavis
Evidemment, son féminisme a souvent été critiqué, puisqu'on demandait aux femmes noires de choisir entre le combat pour les noirs et le combat pour les femmes (intersectionnalité, toussa). #AngelaDavis
Elle est lesbienne et milite également pour les droits LGBT.
