Wer das "TTRPGs for Trans Rights - West Virginia"-Bundle auf #itchio holt, bekommt von #Paizo das PDF von #Pathfinder "Lost Omens: Knights of Lastwall" kostenlos dazu. Doppelguter Deal 🤝 🏳️⚧️
Paizo is legit releasing a book that details everything we know that happened between the days of Pathfinder and Starfinder in a period of time known as "The Gap."
We know nothing about that time so the book is blank.
In our #Paizo interview, we talk about the new Fury of the Elements sourcebook for #Pathfinder2e and Ken geeks out about how he might use it in his #ElementalApocalpyse game for #DnD (because, as long-time listeners know, we love to steal ideas from other games).
Spent a chunk of time today tidying my RPG collection, largely sorting through uncategorized PDFs. Still have some old bundles to process, but made a really big dent in it.
There are enough different RPGs in this library as to be somewhat overwhelming. The idea that there are literally thousands of RPGs in there, and they're only a fraction of what out there is daunting. It's something I know intellectually, but actually digging through the pile makes it almost overwhelming concrete.
@rdonoghue I love the way #Paizo has a number system for every product they make, and you can tell what system the product is from, what category of product, what series it's from, just by the number. Makes their pdfs so much easier to organize, and also makes it possible to find gaps in the collection.
(I do wish it was easier to find the numbers on their website, or in the inside cover of the books. Normally after I download a bundle I've bought, finding the numbers is a game I have to spend a half hour or more playing.)
I've recorded a video on #Paizo's #ORC license. It's over 40 minutes long. 🤮 It's rough. Lots of ums and ahs. It covers only consideration issues, so I need to do a separate one dealing with acceptance. In any event, it should be on my blog tomorrow at 6:30 pm ET. (https://gsllcblog.com/). The next one soon after.
It's a universal system with magic that Just Works (really, no rolls and no spell slots), no saving throws (really, traps hit automatically), 6 hit points and a death wish.. #orc#rpg
"the ORC License has been submitted to the Library of Congress and formally published on the website of Azora Law [..] As soon as copyright registration is finalized, these documents will be updated with the final copyright registration number, which we expect will be ready in about six months. [..] publishers are free to begin using the ORC License right now."
Paizo has confirmed that the Centaur and Minotaur ancestries in the upcoming Howl of the Wild book will be large size by default, with a heritage each that make them medium....
BKOM Studios and Paizo are proud to reveal Pathfinder: Abomination Vaults, the first-ever co-op Hack and Slash ARPG based on the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game!...
So, im not following this too closely, as I’m moving away from #dnd, but from what I gather from my timeline, it appears that #OneDND is basically just a bunch of rearranging and no actually improvements. There’s no upside in going along with it, aside from avoiding the risk that WotC is going to discontinue legacy support on #DnDBeyond, correct?
What this boils down to is a scenario where the community is forced to shell out tons of money to get new versions of books we already own.
The argument about whether or not this is a new version is largely semantics. The issue is, that it’ll require players to re-buy books they already own in order to stay up to date, whatever you want to call it.
Incidentally #Paizo are doing the exact same thing with their Update of PF2.
#Paizo zeigt wie man keine neue Edition macht und kündigt eine Überarbeitung von #Pathfinder2e an:
"we are pleased to reveal the Pathfinder Second Edition Remaster Project, 4 new hardcover rulebooks [...] compatible with existing Pathfinder 2e products, incorporating comprehensive errata and rules updates as well as some of the best additions from later books into new, easy-to-access volumes with streamlined presentations inspired by years of player feedback."
