Finally got lighting to work the way I want it to when next to walls and cliffs. Getting the right configuration of normal map was quite tricky. The downside is that now I have to replace the old tileset with the new one in every single level... yay...
Here's the result of a little Picotron experiment tonight. (Manually re-created the sprites.) Of note, all the sprites use the default palette, with the exception of Locke's hair. I had to set a customized colour to match his SNES sprite since the other colours I tried weren't quite right. In the years to come, I bet we're going to see some very impressive Picotron carts.
Wind Waker has charm out the butt I love it. Controls leave a lot to be desired but what Nintendo game especially late 90s early 2000s didn’t ? #shareyourgames#zelda#windwaker#wiiU
Hello everyone, I'm new on Mastodon and I'm excited to be on a social network that is chill, without algorithm and without ads as it feels refreshing, relaxing and the concept of Fediverse / open online is really cool
There are many things I love to talk about but I particularly enjoy talking about Nintendo, JRPGs and Anime.
...is the same as the original Super Nintendo version with minor changes. 🧝
Four Swords is the multiplayer portion of the cartridge. Four Swords features gameplay similar to A Link to the Past, with a focus on multiplayer; in it, 2 to 4 players must cooperatively work through a series of puzzle-laden dungeons, while competing to collect rupees. 💎
Four Swords was followed in 2004 by a GameCube sequel, Four Swords Adventures. 🏹
-Targeting puts the camera behind you
-Distance is based on target size (bigger = further)
-FoV adjusts when the cam can't move
-Right stick unlocks it
-When unlocked, it frames you + target!
Well folks, since there’s no #vgmwednesday theme yet, how about songs with #asenseofprogression? I love this type of music, where the song builds up with more and more instruments the further you get in a level, battle or side quest.
I must have penned 100 of these by now as I move around the fediverse week to week and sometimes day to day. Anyway here it goes again...
I'm a #Nintendo fangirl. My first console was the #NES and I've been in love ever since. The #N64 being my favorite console of all time with games like Goldeneye, Mario 64, and #Zelda Ocarina of Time being some of the best games ever made. I know most people had a PlayStation then, but I was always a Nintendo girl.
I watch #horror#movies consistently, and sometimes it feels like I've seen the entire genre. Out of nowhere someone will recommend me a film I hadn't seen, and I'll love it. Routinely makes the genre surprise me in a good way. It's gotten to the point that if it's not a horror film I probably won't watch it.
I like to read, and again, with a slant to horror. #StephenKing being my favorite author ever since I read The Shining as a young teen. #Fantasy, especially #Tolkien, is another fixation. I did see the #LotR movies before I read the books, so I'm probably not as cool as you.
If you don't love #birds we probably can't be friends. I've been bird obsessed for going on 6 years now. Ever since a house sparrow couple decided to nest in my garage I've become a bird nerd. Honestly I don't think it would be possible for me to love anything more than our feathered friends, and it shatters my heart every time I read about #climatechange decimating bird populations. Birds are better than people, full stop.
#Retrocomputing and #nostalgia are another side hobby. Content around the retrotechisphere is certainly in my orbit. I grew up with i386 processors and 9600baud modems in my veins. I would hangout in chatrooms on #BBS servers until 2am (my mom HATED it).
That's basically me minus all the neurodivergency causing disasters in my life, but I'm not here to trauma dump. As long as I have an #Android phone and a Nintendo console I'll be happy.
