Do you love Independent Bookstores? Do you live or spend time in the Noe Valley neighborhood of San Francisco? I'm so excited to be able to help bring an Indie Bookstore back!
A neighbor stopped me on my walk yesterday to say she bought one of my #zines from the local #bookstore and that she loves it.
Its called “If you do art today your house will be a mess (a love letter to my creative friends)”
It’s all about how it’s okay to let some things (like housework) slide to pursue other goals (like #art). She said she keeps it in her purse to help her remember to be #gentle with herself 🥰🥰💜💜

Famous rock star visits bookstore ahead of gig
An independent bookstore had a VIP visitor... who even left with a few new poems.
Aw man looks like someone already bought the #book I was eyeing for in this #bookstore :cirno_cry:
But at least I found these lol. I already have #JomaSison's book here but I'm kinda interested in this book by #RigobertoTiglao about foreign involvement in the #corruption inside our #telco industry. :sagume_think:
A quick post, after a big distance trip, to show a second hand #BookHaul
Found these delights at Bookshop Bivar in Lisbon, and if you're in Portugal and looking for second hand books in English, this is the bookstore to go. They also send by post to other places in Portugal.
The bookstore’s doors first opened in Dec. 2021 after owner Lucy Yu crowdfunded $18,000 in two months to lease the space, formerly a funeral supply store.
A group of anarchists in North Carolina that run a bookstore took in thousands of books banned in Florida, and are now distributing them to anyone who wants them. Lots of them right back to Florida 😂
Last two books for my Bookmaking Class at Lillstreet! First one is a French chain long stitch book. I LOVE the cover and the pattern on spine but had some trouble with the paper.
The second one is a Belgian Secret Stich. This was such a fun one to make - and it feels so professional, too!
When we visited Portland last summer, the only place we went many times was Powell's City of Books. It is the best bookstore in the world. I grabbed an extra bag because I knew I wanted to make a book out of it.
🇪🇸 Madrid’s OLDEST bookshop, the San Ginés Book Shop
A stone’s throw from one of the most famous places in #Madrid for churros with chocolate is this picturesque #bookstore. The San Ginés #BookShop is actually one of the oldest #bookshops in #Spain
It is situated in the scenic Pasadizo de San Ginés, between Calle Arenal and Calle Mayor, near the parish of the same name and Chocolatería de San Ginés
Its beginnings can be traced to the 17th century when #Diego_Logroño ⏩
Last night I wanted a new audiobook to listen to. I usually just use Apple Books but am giving Libro.fm a shot because they’re DRM-free and have a scheme to support local brick and mortar bookstores. 📚

Ask your favorite bookstore to join. It is still a soft launch so be gentle please. The backend is powered by something that already existed, called Bookmanager. This has been in works for a while courtesy the Canadian Independent Booksellers Association - cibabooks.ca.
“Yoshiyuki Morioka decided in 2015 to open his bookstore that offers just one book per week.
Located in Ginza district, the small bookshop Morioka Shoten offers just one book (but sells multiple copies of it). Customers can either buy it or wait until the next week for a new literary option.”
