I've been using on my tablet and laptop for years. I desperately don't want to surrender to a only world. However, Firefox's bookmark and tab functionality on android suck plain and simple. There are no non-chrome options left, so if I were to lower my trousers and bend over the desk for , which should I try for a little while?

My first reaction to Google IO is laughter. Throwing everything but the kitchen sink at the buzz word--especially the Android part of the presentation. That wall paper thing was the worst 7 minutes I've ever spent and that I'll never get back.

The responsible AI discussion would have gone far better if Google hadn't fired Timnet Gebru and Margaret Mitchell.

Overall, there just was no strategy. seems scattered and reactive.

Notice that will be required for a lot.

So I'd need for Microsoft services and for Google services. I want to use neither of those. All of a sudden, wars have a completely different definition.

This bifurcation is not good.

  1. JSON doesn't win any beauty contests, but it is better than XML.
  2. Modern REST APIs mostly use JSON.
  3. HTML: Thirty years of messing around but no real purpose found.
  4. Several modern JS frameworks generate HTML from JS.
  5. Static site generators are basically a solution to the problem "How do I generate HTML".
  6. Modern web sites are more than just text with some formatting instructions.

Therefore: We should abandon HTML and describe web pages in JSON.

What is actually good at? Going thru their key products, it is clear they don't create new paradigms, they make often buggy implementations of ideas from other people: . One thing they are clearly good is building a . So it seems what they are good at is seeing good ideas, "embrace and extend" to control it, then building monopoly profiteering.

Is there a plugin for browser tabs that works like the chromium based tab groups to collapse, color code, etc?

Looking more for a group instead of a container style. I've looked into Simple Tab Groups, but its more containers, and cant collapse the groups I make.

Firefox Focus blocked 23640 ads and trackers. In more than a year of daily usage.
Brave browser blocked 1400 ads and trackers. In just a week.
It’s about 3 times more.
Is @brave really that good at blocking or is it just better at counting ?
