Their own citizens are suffering for the sake of #FossilFuel greed.
Few countries in the world have the kind of power to do something about #ClimateCrisis the way the US does. They must act NOW
The Indian government continues its unrelenting pursuit of coal power while ordinary Indians succumb to the heat in record numbers.
While developed nations bear the bulk of the responsibility, developing nations cannot turn a blind eye the impacts of #ClimateBreakdown and their role in it.
All governments need to act NOW, not just set benchmarks and targets that are never met
2023 was a summer of extreme heat for Italy that caused numerous deaths.
Despite the tragic and horrific deaths of its own citizens from #FossilFuel induced #ClimateBreakdown, Italy cannot wean itself off oil to save the lives of its own citizens.
Italy is not alone in its complicity. Tell your government representatives NO MORE OIL. NO MORE SUBSIDIES for human killing fossil fuels.
This is our new normal. There is barely enough time to reverse the worst effects of #ClimateBreakdown but it will take radical changes to our lifestyles to mitigate #ClimateCollapse.
Those radical changes include switching to cheap and plentiful renewable energy immediately.
Imagine that? Clean air and more money in your pocket. What a shocker.

Visited the #Norfolk seaside today and walked from Cromer to Overstrand. This is not the worst impacted section of our coast by any means, in terms of coastal erosion or rising sea levels, but the evidence of the tension was there nonetheless.

There are voters out there switching from #Tories to Green Party…we’ve seen that happen at a county level in Norfolk.
#Sunak has taken his rural, nature loving older core vote for granted and they are disgusted at the state of our rivers and fearful of what may come for their children with #ClimateBreakdown.
The writing is on the wall for Tories and they won’t vote Labour.
And we see no one in local, devolved or national government taking responsibility for action or adaptation…they either pretend it’s not happening, not their responsibility or they don’t have funds to do anything.
Meanwhile communities will be lost to the sea much sooner than anyone imagined 10yrs ago.

In January 2020 I applied for a job as a research assistant. I interviewed, didn’t get it, but was asked if I would be interested in working on a research bid on a freelance basis. I agreed. Then lockdown hit.
So I spent the first lockdown home schooling and contemplating #ClimateBreakdown. Tonight I got to see what was the germ of a research idea 4 years ago, come to fruition. It was so powerful, but also there was humour and detail that I hadn’t imagined.
