Premier Ford brazenly appointed his high-school-grad nephew as Minister of Citizenship & Multiculturalism in the most populous, most diverse region of Canada.

I'm not a fan of the #Ontario "Public sector salary disclosure" (aka Sunshine List), but it does turn up some disturbing details:
Const. Douglas Holmes, ordered fired by tribunal for violating public trust (found guilty of assault by the SIU) and hasn't worked since November 2019: earned $112,605 last year
Const. Conal Quinn, jailed for 4 years for sexual assault: earned $117,679 last year
It seems to me that the Canadian government would be far less likely to get into jurisdictional overreach if the Provincial governments were actually to do their fucking jobs and stop blaming the feds for everything that is wrong in their own provinces.
The rental crisis is only partially a federal problem (looking at you, CMHC), but the provinces have been entirely absent in presenting solutions. Want to stop federal intervention? Do something about it yourself!!!!

Premier Ford just blew another wad of taxpayer cash to build himself a private media room at Queen's Park were he can hold restricted press conferences.
The current media room is a neutral space operated by the Speaker of the Legislature on behalf of the press gallery, & journalists are not limited in the number of questions they can ask a minister.
In #DougFord's new underground bunker, journalists will be "allowed" to ask one question & one follow-up
The truth is, Conservatives hate the carbon tax because it is progressive and returns the revenue back to Canadians directly, not corporations. They dislike the fact that carbon taxes are not an upward wealth redistribution scheme, or a form of trickle down.
