I'm so thankful that you offer such a great tool that makes my life so much easier - especially at work. I sort project types into #workspaces and project related things into tab stacks.
I also don't want to miss the mouse gestures anymore. The built-in #mail client and #calendar help me stay perfectly organized. :tony_wee: :vivaldi_red:

@fireborn I am a test volunteer for @Vivaldi#email and man am I happy everytime I can close TB again, because while I'm grateful TB exists and I am delighted that they have decided to return to active development... I can't stand using it. Check out the #mail client integrated in #VivaldiBrowser. And if you don't like it, there's still plenty of other clients on #linux that are worth checking out
The current state of scrollbars is, on the face of it, objective evidence that the people who run tech do not give a single solitary fuck about usability or UX https://artemis.sh/2023/10/12/scrollbars.html
@baldur Thanks for the read. While I can't say that the lack of scrollbars has affected me personally, I can see how it can be a problem and sympathise with you and anyone else annoyed by this.
If it's of any interest, @Vivaldi has a page action that let's you enable a minimap for any web page you visit.
@SteveBellovin@Teri_Kanefield If you’re running MacOS, the Vivaldi browser has a built-in RSS reader and an email client. Worth checking out. I use it every day and love it. https://vivaldi.com.
Did I mention one of the best things about #Mastodon is having the ability to #edit posts?! That alone is a good reason for leaving the former bird site. #hashtags are a wee bit fiddly though. PS Posting via the #vivaldibrowser desktop version is a total doddle with the side menu feature.
Hey @VivaldiBrowser team! Your browser is amazing, but I have a suggestion for an extra layer of security. Can we get a #MasterPassword feature in the next update? It would be great to have more control over our saved passwords and data protection. What do you think, Vivaldi community? Let's show our support for this idea! 🛡️ #VivaldiBrowser#Security#FeatureRequest
Last week i used Vivaldi exclusively on Windows,Linux and iPhone and this week spent back on Brave and while i like their (Braves) privacy features and believe they offer more in this regard than Vivaldi their crypto focus is a big annoyance of mine.
So today went back to Vivaldi and one major annoyance really is how adress url autocomplete works so the upcoming 6.2 update should adress that and can´t come soon enough.
And no reader view on iPhone yet in Beta. Submitted a FR for it through TF feedback but im assuming it will come at some point. Oh, and sync of search engines does not work but hopefully it is also being worked on.
But Vivaldi on iPhone is shaping up quite nicely
And secondly why is there no merch shop in EU? 😅 I´d be happy to support with a purchase. But shipping and tax to get anything into Sweden from USA is a bit too much for me. Your HQ is next door (country wise) so not having shipping within EU is a bummer.
Happy birthday to #Linux's :debian: #Debian distribution, which was established on this day 30 years ago by Ian Murdock. 🎉 🥳
We're proud to have been available on Debian since the very first version of :vivaldi_red: #VivaldiBrowser. :tony_wee:
So I’ve used Vivaldi exclusively on Windows and Linux for five days now. And it’s.. mostly positive. Some weirdness when browsing, like randomly nothing happening for maybe a second or two after entering a url and pressing enter.
And to me it is noticeable that Vivaldi overall is slower compared to others. No way around it I guess with all their built in..features.
I will say the Workspaces feature is good for me as a way to keep different topics grouped.
I understand that this would be a massive undertaking, but would you guys ever be open to considering a re-base of #VivaldiBrowser away from the [Chromium Based] Blink rendering engine & moving over to the #Servo rendering engine?
The people over at @servo seem to be making great strides with it & I feel that having a team that are actively developing a web browser to help them would be a massive support for them.
Given what I've seen, my trust is in @Vivaldi to do it properly & respectfully.
@rolle@raccoon Thanks, hopefully @Vivaldi will join the list of sites using #BirdUI. Feature request at the forum linked so #vivaldi users can add support.
Meanwhile, I got the Bird UI CSS personally working by using browser extension Stylus on Ubuntu #VivaldiBrowser
My first theme for #vivaldiBrowser. I love the #cinnamox themes for #cinnamon desktop, But there were none to mach the browser so I made this. I hope it liked 🙂
#Cats and the #internet are as good a match as #Vivaldi and the internet. So why not make it into a trio?
On this #InternationalCatDay, we hope you get your daily dose of cute, funny and just plain wonderful cat content on the internet through the Vivaldi browser.
