This is a masterclass on how not to change a company name.
Anyone else would not change the name to a trademark their competitor owns, the logo to a symbol they cannot own and then try to take down the sign at headquarters only to have the cops shut that down because they had no permit. 🤦♂️

@davidaugust I rode in a Tesla last year, and it showed a display of all the cars the AI perceived. Cars would flicker and disappear off the display 🤦🏼♀️
@davidaugust it's almost like you shouldn't decide on a Sunday evening while blazed that you have this totally radical idea for a rebrand and then, without consulting anyone's advice, make it public and order it to be done by the next day
I'm coming to think that Musk's self-driving cars might be entirely safe, as they could be counted upon to drive themselves straight into the nearest ditch at low speed as soon as they are activated.

@davidaugust there used to be a streaming service like Twitch called Beam, it had its own cool features and design, and I liked it there.
Then it was purchased by Microsoft and quickly renamed to Mixer, and after quite some time they announced they're closing it, but signed an agreement with Facebook (back then) to provide easy migration to Facebook Gaming.
So, that trademarked logo by Meta is Mixer's logo :P

He can keep dreaming about the everything app, but that means it will need to have the infrastructure for (legally) streaming TV shows, processing payments, being a telephone service, a dating app, etc.
To do that, it needs people to build them. Guess what this website's lacking thanks to him?
