I'm looking for British artists - ideally from marginal backgrounds, including BIPOC, disabled, working class, queer etc, who work on the environment and climate from an activist perspective. If can think of any names (or if that describes you!) please do let me know.
And boost for visibility please - thank you all kindly
If you're including music in whatever this is, you might like my song "All of us"?
(I'd say I was a bit marginalised as an old queer covid-careful person with a slow recovery going on from a year+ of Long Covid - in other ways mostly relatively lucky)
While inverter machines and digital control TIG machines are incredible, and plasma cutters are super fast and cut a sweet clean line., They do not have the soul of a 70 year old cutting torch, I love breaking out the Airco 'corn cob' torch. #art#welding#studio#metal
@asbestos do you ever give lessons? I’ve made things with laser cutters, CNCs, and plenty of small stuff like carving/soldering, but I’d love to learn bigger scale “manual” equipment.
@angst_ridden
I hadn't thought about it. What did you want to learn? If it's strictly welding there are great videos online with people who are better than me (that's how I learned TIG) I do a lot of gas welding brazing and soldering
With a chilling breeze coming into the harbor, from the open ocean, I pulled on an extra layer of clothing as I prepared for a scenic walk around the beautiful waterfront of Belfast, Maine.
Buoys, trap and bait barrels, all tools of the trade for a Maine Lobsterman. Stored on the commercial pier at Cape Porpoise in Kennebunkport, Maine, this equipment awaits being loaded onto the owner's boat for use off the coast of Kennebunkport.
How would you like to treat yourself this Caturday and on the way support little queer owned small business with getting any cat themed handmade jewellery <3
