@rscottjones Nothing to tell. It's just the way of the #Fediverse . I only announce it because it seems to threaten, confuse and bewilder some people who think they're the #Fediverse#HOA and act like they're on #NextDoor policing [harassing] their neighbors.
The #Fediverse has different kinds of software, so if you're going to post on #Kbin or #PixelFed you'll have to get more than one account too. It's normal and most people don't care. Most people don't act like the #Fediverse#HOA
I can follow lemmy groups from here. I will see new posts and comments in my home feed same as if I followed another Mastodon or Akkoma or Calckey or whatever user. And I can also reply, and it’ll be seen there too! It’ll show up like any other comment made there.
But mastodon is not a great interface for lemmy or kbin type groups, right? So I made a kbin account instead.
You're right because I've had whole conversations with people on the #reddit style platforms like #KBin from this #Mastodon account. It's actually kind of cool.
I forgot to mention that I've donated to some of the instances I'm on where it's available/requested. Not large donations but something to pitch in. Even if I'm not necessarily active.
@moira@rscottjones One thing I forgot to mention, sometimes you can join an instance and because it's walled, not know their value system or rules. If that happens you can always delete your account. I've had to do that. I did it quietly and didn't make a big deal of it. Sometimes you just don't agree with certain things.
