I am making a reddit-like kbin theme :DD

(I wasn't sure if kbinMeta was the right place to post that, so I am posting it here instead)
It's still very early in work and doesn't really support websites outside threads and the homepage. I tried to make it support already existing theme features of kbin, but it still has some issues with light mode (which I am still working on fixing :3c).
Before and after enabling the theme

EDIT: You can now get it here! https://userstyles.world/style/10288/kbin-it

ImASquirrelYipee,

thank you so much

postscarce,

Finally, an add comment box at the top of the post!

CosmicVelho,

Is it possible to have a setting to hide anything related to "People"? Like the people tab up top as well as active people on the side. I love old.reddit because it's not about individuals, it's about communities.

Also, how do you make a theme like this?

You don't need a theme for it at all! If you have an adblocker (I use uBlock Origin, it may be different for other adblockers), right-click anywhere on the website, select "Block element", select what you want to get rid off (in this case the people tab or active people on the sidebar), if you got "karab.in/build/images/shape.png" selected (that's what happened to me) select the first option under "Cosmetic filters", and confirm clicking "Create".
If you deleted something you didn't want to, you can bring it back by deleting the line in your adblock settings in the "My filters" tab.

CosmicVelho,

Holy banana, thank you. I can't believe I never tried this! Thank you.

Can you add collapsible comment trees via user styles?

I don't think that's possible, sorry

I could go either way on extending the top menu to the sides of the screen but moving the comment box to the top is a godsend

Borg286,

Can you include steps to install it. I tried to click the install but it only sent me to a css page. I'd like to know what to do with it.

Can you also note whether or not it works for mobile.

You need an extension called Stylus
if you use Chrome/Edge/Opera or other chromium browser get it here: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/stylus/clngdbkpkpeebahjckkjfobafhncgmne
And if you use Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/styl-us/
After you installed the extension, you should have a page showing css and on the top right side there should be a "Install style" button

Martinligabue,

interesting

It seems like kbinDesign is dedicated entirely on kbin's official UI, not community-made themes

I just created /m/kbinStyles for this. I've been working on a custom theme and js script to help improve my experience, and having a place to put all of that could help us collaborate!

I wonder if there is any way to cross-post, I already posted about it on m/fediverse twice, idk if it's a good idea to do it a third time

I think it would be cool to have a feature where we could load styles into our account so it would follow us across devices easily.
