Today, after a year of preparation, we launched our own medium, Page Not Found ( https://pagenotfound.cz/ ), focused on slow journalism. We did it on nights and free weekends as an alternative to the big media houses. We want to focus on slow journalism and it's in our DNA to fight for a free internet without unnecessary barriers. That's why the important stories won't be behind a paywall! We are also working with innovative design. I will be glad for feedback pagenotfound.cz #media#journalism
"I’d strongly disagree that the right and left are in comparable positions. Moreover, the idea that they are roughly equivalent seems to be a deliberate smokescreen by partisans to hide the real story, which is one of the unprecedented radicalization of the right in service of a minoritarian political project.
I can’t think of any precedent to this moment, at least not in American history."

St. Louis National Public Radio is claiming sovereign immunity as "an arm of the state exercising exclusively governmental functions" and argues it should be immune from the defamation lawsuit.
It's worth noting that NPR objected when X/Twitter labeled it "state-affiliated" and "government-funded" media, arguing that such labels undermined their journalistic independence.
I’ve heard somewhere that democracy dies in darkness.
“In a series of paragraphs that are up there as being among the most shocking I have read in my journalistic career, the Post acknowledged on Saturday — dropped in the middle of the holiday weekend, more than a week after the Times’s report — that they had known about the flag since at least January 20, 2021, and had not revealed knowledge of it until May 25, 2024.”
FWIW We’re all a bit disappointed in the decline of media in the U.S as to what’s covered and how. For those of us in the U.S. just know things suck more on a holiday weekend. They did so back in better times, but it’s worse now. So, use the chance to turn off and relax.
