The Thin Gold Line. April 21, 2023. Wolverine Lake, Michigan.
After a couple days off, let's pick the #Top25sunsets countdown back up with this lovely moment from April when the clouds above and the mirror smooth lake below combined to draw golden lines across the sky.
#ArtAdventCalendar - one of my paintings features on the cover of a science-art journal, just released! It shows palaeoecology as an Australian landscape made up of fragments of time
Continuing my effort to get caught up on the #ArtAdventCalendar, here's Day 12 - Flying.
A photo of my cousin, leaping through the air. I photographed her from a low angle as she jumped from a swing set. To me, there's such a feeling of freedom and possibility in this image. #canongirlsrock

#ArtAdventCalendar Day 18 but I'm posting #December 21 so Blessed and Happy Solstice to all! This date is what all the mid-winter holy days/festivals are really about in the Northern Hemisphere - Sun has reached the maximum of her southward journey, and will begin the slow return. We celebrate the anticipated return of #light but also should take some time to reflect on the darkness: #sleep#blood#soil#death#regeneration#SeasonalRhythms#pagan#animist
Happy mid-summer to Southern friends!
