Not to be a doomer, but this isn't even the question.

The question is whether enough people would even take the vaccines if we made them, and the answer is clearly: No.

There is a very old very good reason why we pasteurize milk. It seems to be forgotten. Everything is not default safe, we made it safe. But everyone with living memory of the hell before and modern medicine and here, safety and sanitary , is dead. And reigns.

They wish to relearn the obvious, with death and suffering for us all.

The USDA is doubling down on mythical milkborne spread:

"The USDA said cows shed the virus in milk at high concentrations, so anything that comes in contact with unpasteurized milk may spread the disease. Respiratory transmission is not considered a primary way for the virus to spread in cattle, the department added."

No explanation given. Flu is a milkborne pathogen now. Total fucking clownshow

Curious if there's any SARS-CoV-2 seroprevalence data for U.S. dairy cattle.

Thinking about deer (and cats) testing positive, in context of known consequence of immune senescence in humans.

We've been worried about crossing species barriers for decades. Was expected to happen eventually, even without covid in the mix.

Nonetheless, one wonders how much more susceptible are U.S. livestock to cross-species spillover & zoonoses than they would have been five years ago?

"What's even more concerning, several researchers agreed, is the growing potential for bird flu to spread to another species of livestock: Pigs.

While cattle aren't known for being an ideal host for many flu viruses, pigs are potent viral mixing vessels. That's because swine have both human-adapted receptors and avian-adapted receptors in their respiratory tracts, Moncla said, meaning they can be infected with either type of pathogen"
