#Caregiving is exhausting, physically and emotionally. You must replenish your strength for your own wellbeing and that of the person you support. #Selfcare is a necessity, not a luxury.
Anyone who has had a family member or someone you knew w/ dementia and/or Alzheimer's - suggestions needed on dealing with cursing and name-calling. I "know" that the person's brain loses the social filter and horrible language can come out very inappropriately, it's rough when certain words trigger outrage. Son is using the N-word and other names and hit a nerve today with our new part-time caregiver. It's been a rough day. We can't stop it - ideas? #Alzheimer#Dementia
When you are #caregiving for a loved one, making #selfcare a priority can feel impossible. For your own #wellbeing and that of the person you love, it is a practical necessity and a key to endurance.
Kind of non-update update about #dementia thing,
I called doctor to clarify what he said.
Ended up with non-explanation explanation “It’s reversible, I’m not saying it’s non-reversible. You can still live healthy life “ What about stress he gave me?
There are lots of articles saying people with #ADHD can have #Earlydementia at their 50s, though I suspect they are trying to making money with those who have money and abandon without.
(I tend to be angry because of #PTSD)

If it helps, "The Polls" have been SO ridiculously wrong for the past 2 decades that "bad" polls might actually be "good" news.
Does ANYONE think #TheOrangeMenace has GAINED support since his 7mil vote loss in 2020, with his embrace of violence, glee over "overturning #Roe", his #racism becoming EVEN MORE overt, declaring his intention to be #DictatorForADay (after quoting #Hitler), and growing signs of #Dementia?
No. Not a chance. Pollsters are using the same pre-Cell methodology.
I went to Psychiatrist (ADHD doctor mostly prescribing meds)a few days ago, I told him my concerns about cognitive decline.(I’m 58)
I sometimes cannot simple addition ,or forget my late mother’s maiden name.
That doctor told me like he was trying to cure early dementia, “impossible to be cured for people who don’t live in certain schedules “. Even without testing me. I am writing this in my second language, my cognitive function is not 100% lost yet.
How can he say such a thing? #ADHD #Dementia #Earlydementia
#Caregiving can shake your self-confidence, make you question your judgement and inner strength. Some people will take advantage of your vulnerability. True friends will help you trust your heart, rediscover your endurance.
