ICJ Urges 'Immediate And Unconditional Release' Of Gaza Hostages
The top United Nations court on Friday called for the immediate release of hostages taken by Hamas in its October 7 assault on Israel.
'"The court finds it deeply troubling that many of these hostages remain in captivity and reiterates its call for their immediate and unconditional release," the International Court of Justice said.'
They have guided our standards though war for over a century and we won't be lowering our standards so terrorists can extract demands from every nation using martyr and hostage.
I think it's cute that the only standard of international justice #Palestine recognizes is the #icj and #Hamas basically told the court to fuck off after it declared Hamas international criminals with #Netanyahu.
"Our Prime Minister got it wrong yesterday,” he said at a press conference.
"The Prime Minister should stand shoulder to shoulder with Joe Biden and the leaders of other countries around the world who have made the right call here."

"The ICC considers cases against individuals and as such has to be distinguished from the International Court of Justice, which rules on disputes between states, such as the case brought by South Africa against Israel in January 2024 under the 1948 Genocide Convention."
If the US saw lack of ICC jurisdiction as a valid defense that exempts Israel from ICC prosecution, then US would not have welcomed ICC arrest warrants for Putin—who also rejects ICC jurisdiction. But instead the US happily welcomed ICC warrants against Putin, and stands by those warrants to this day.
International rules based order mandates consistency in law and the application of law—for opponents & allies alike. That's how justice is supposed to work.
