Finally started playing #GodOfWar for the first time since my partner gifted it to me many months ago. Played it on my #SteamDeck initially (docked) and while it performed surprisingly well, it looked like garbage, ofc.
Installed it on my main #PC instead, and it runs on full Ultra, 1440p at ~80-90+ FPS consistently and maxes at about ~120 FPS, no stutters at all. On #Linux, and an #NVIDIA GPU (prop driver), absolutely perfect experience with no tinkering whatsoever. Kinda excited to see the possibility of having a better general + #gaming experience with an #OpenSource driver such as #NVK in the future - as much as I love #AMD CPUs/mobo/platform in general, I don't see myself buying their GPUs anytime soon.
Hey sup everyone. It’s me, the guy who said they’ll be back next Xmas after finishing the God of War DLC. Welp, here I am - wellllll before next Xmas. The DLC is super disappointing and I’m damn glad it was free. Run forward, open a door, fight random monsters. Climb a wall, open another door, fight another monster, get a chest with random shit in it. No rhyme or reason as to the shit you get - choose left or right, then climb down a wall, go through another door, fight another rando. Wash rinse and repeat. Super boring. Almost 8 gigabytes I’ll never see again.
Thoroughly disrecommended, free or not. Back to Horizon Forbidden West we go.
I really need to continue my #DQXI and #NierReplicant playthrough instead of buying and playing new games lol. I've not even touched #GodOfWar I was gifted months ago, that's nuts.

For this week's Stumble Saturday we will be taking a look at the newly released #assassinsCrede Mirage, which while it seemingly does boast some #accessibility features, will likely not be enough to play fully unassisted by the #blind. Then again, #godOfWar Ragnarok wasn't either and that didn't stop us, so let's see how long it takes before we get destroyed by ... a tree we can't find our way around :P
My #xboxone has been gathering dust for about three years, I stopped paying the gold subscription since I already have the #PlayStation and #Nintendo subs and PS games are basically better than #XBOX. Few weeks ago I bought a whiz bang #4K TV with phenomenal display quality and brought the Xbox out of retirement, lugged it out to the lounge room and hooked it to the new TV alongside my #PS5. I just booted up #GearsOfWar 4. Now, my One isn’t a 4k version, but even with 1080p the graphics in GoW4 are freaking amazing. The game was so ahead of it’s time. It’s actually the series that I got Xbox for originally, just like #GodOfWar is the reason I got Playstation (the 2, back in the day) for.
