It's the weekend, so let's talk about what our plans are for the next couple of days.

For me, it's just a weekend to rest and relax and enjoy the days. I'll be playing some Horizon Forbidden West as well as No Rest For The Wicked.

Other than that, not much else planned.

It's a new week, so let's all comment below with what the week has in store for all of us and what we hope to accomplish.

For me, it's usual work stuff with meetings here and there and not much else work wise I don't think.

Tonight will be Fortnite with friends and I'll hopefully get some more time playing Horizon Forbidden West.

It’s done! I started this Clawstrider at the beginning of the month, and finished just before midnight last night.

I didn’t work on it every night, but more than half. It’s ~7100 pieces, and probably took ~100 hours to assemble.

The instructions were … not amazing, and the kit was missing 10-20 specific pieces. It’s also fragile AF. Can’t really recommend it unless you are ready for frustration.

This shot is the reverse of the previous: still along the left side, but this time close to the tail, as the robot faces away from the camera. From this angle, you can see the wide fan of the blades along each side of the tail. The tail is articulated several times, with breaks in the armor plates, before it joins with the torso. Here, the grass obscures the hips and hind legs. Orange and yellow rips highlight the blade feathers, and almost blend into the golden grass.
A close-up of the head of the robot, in profile. The cerrated teeth stand out, while the strip of black chainsaw teeth are almost invisible in the shadow. This close, you can clearly see the grey tubes which run from the nose, back along the head, disappearing between the twin sprays of feather-blades down to the neck. Again here, the yellow and orange highlights here and there blend in well with the grass, while the otherwise glowing white armor plates stand out.
A wider profile shot, showing the robot from nose to elbows. This shows off how the feather-blades start at the top of the head, and continue down the neck, shoulders, arms, and down to the forearms. Those blades gain sharp yellow-orange tips as they cross the shoulders. Small claws tip each hand … until you look closer and see a collection of long black knife talons curled under and hiding below.

I plan to rest, relax and enjoy some video games. Finally able to get started on No Rest For The Wicked and will of course play more Horizon Forbidden West as well.

Nothing much beyond that, hopefully.

Just under 3 hours until the release of Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition on PC.

I can't wait for this game to release as this is where my time will be spent for the next few days if not weeks.

Will anyone else be playing this on PC by chance?

After only 57 1/2 hours of play time, I have beaten Horizon Forbidden West's main story.

I did do quite a bit of the side quests as well, but not all of them.

I've now unlocked the Burning Shores DLC which I'll jump into at some point soon.

Super fun game, just like the first one was. Glad to have completed it on PC.

I feel this quest line will end in a fight. My hands want rest... There's no way to save it... So I have to continue and finish it.
Horizon I do love you but dammit, we needed save as it is, not only save here or there... 😔
Wish I had a player two who could take over and do this fight I feel is coming...

I'm now just over 30 hours into Horizon Forbidden West and this is where the game really starts to get amazingly fun and hard to take a break from.

Currently level 27 and doing a ton of side quests that I had accumulated while doing the main story.

I'd say I'm about 1/5th of the way through the main game itself.

continues to impress the shit out of me. It was snowing, and the snow collected on the surface of a pond. As I walked through the pond, the snow was displaced and left a trail behind me.

This is such an astounding attention to detail. They didn't have to do this, it would have been perfectly acceptable video game behavior if it ignored me.

The game is absolutely fucking gorgeous, and they built in a really useful camera tool that lets you move around the scene, change focus, and even hide the character.

Aloy stands at the base of a slope next to a large ramshackle crane constructed from large timber and ropes. Waterfalls are visible in a ravine on the left side of the image, and a boar is wandering along the cliff edge.

I could use some .

I want to get a new graphics card in anticipation of the PC release of .

My screen has a resolution of 1980x1080, which I am comfortable with - I certainly don't need 4K graphics. However, I feel that my old GeForce 1080 is not enough for the latest generation of PC games.

A friend recommended a GeForce 3080 as a suitable replacement. Do you agree with this assessment, or would you recommend something else?

I have spent a very happy few hours back in the world of Aloy.

I’ve been waiting a long while for this to come to PC and so far it’s definitely worth it. It is stunningly pretty.

I don’t want to go to bed or do work tomorrow.
