Apparently 93 Tory constituencies are outraged that a "snap election" has been called leaving them with their (short) trousers around their ankles, not yet having selected their prospective parliamentary candidate.

Boo hoo. Poor them...

Unless they were expecting our Second-Past-The-Post Prime Minister Mr Tetchy to cancel all future general elections, we all knew that one would have to be called by January 2025.

So much for Rishi Sunak's much-touted 'Plan.'

No, no, no, Israel has got it right - Netanyahu is posing a very important moral question:

Does the right of self-defence of a state include the right to commit genocide to ensure its citizens "feel safe"?

Asking for, well not exactly a friend, asking for a deceased Nazi dictator...

Good Morning, all

The Nastiz' Foreign Secretary David Cameron (that's Baron Cameron of Huggahoodie to plebs like me and you) has just said that Israel does not have the "unconditional" support of H.M.'s Government.

What's surprising is that Lord Cameron of Greensill needed to make this explicit.

Israel is a sovereign country, just as is (and was before Brexit) the Untied Kingdom. No country deserves our "unconditional" support.

Fascinating discussion on during the final hour of James O'Brien's show about Tory MP William Wragg (ironically one of the 'Common Sense' family among the Tories) and his apology for sending RichardImages (as we now probably have to refer to Dickpics to save politicians' blushes).

Left me wondering if Wragg's photograph has been added to the Commons Library's photo-gallery of Members of Parliament...

Benjamin Netanyahu is so apologetic about the Israeli air-strike that killed seven international aid workers for World Central Kitchen: "they were unintentionally targeted."

Thee vehicles were unintentionally struck by PGMs at three separate locations over a notified route 2km in length.

As Churchill said 'once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, three times is 'unintentional'.'

Aid deliveries have been suspended. Job done.

If anyone should be criminalised for causing a public pong it should not be the homeless - it should be the bosses of the privatised water companies who are filling the Untied Kingdom's rivers, lakes and coastal waters with our shit...

I am sick of the media. Newsnight are only interested in political gains or risks. Not once do they actually ask what is right for the country. It's all just a game of who gets in power. Suggest they change their name to "political party night" as it has nothing to do with news. News should be informative and for the general public. Our entire system is seriously fucked and will not ever be right until media actually stand for news. Politics is not news, it's just power games.

Why is this man Hester being shunned for his racist 'jokes'?

Appalling as they are, shouldn't he be shunned - and his £10 million 'donation' returned by the Nastiz - because of the apparent conflict of interest that his company obtains significant amounts of work in our public health care system....

That is correct, but completely at odds with the rest of the segment, so I was very surprised to hear it.

missing a key point about the "dark web": privacy and security for vulnerable groups in the face of mass surveillance, oppressive governments etc. in a world where has all but disappeared for anyone leading a "normal" life.

One day maybe they'll cover this, or the activities of data brokers, security breaches and so many other massive problems with the web since corporations have enclosed it and governments have chosen to use that to extend their power.

Why did it take @danneidle, an independent person to investigate what - in just this one case - appears to be hundreds of millions of pounds of tax fraud facilitated by one person's group of companites?

Perhaps what Netanyahu's Israel 'Defence' Force is doing in the Gaza Strip, which is resulting in the deaths of tens of thousands of civilians - most of them women and children, isn't War, Glorious or otherwise?

In which case, what should it be called?

BBC talk about Arabs taking over the Spectator, and the apoplexy among about a foreign interest in UK media.

BBC Newsnight don't mention that 80% of UK press is owned by foreign tax avoiders such as US citizen Rupert Murdoch, the Barclay brothers in (Jersey) and Lord Rothermere (who is resident in France).

I'm not sure how much this is right with racism or self interest.

BBC panel on 's budget get near the issue but miss some key points.

They talk of Tory tax cuts when the Tories are raising taxes overall, and cutting services at the same time.

They ignore that half the money spent the cut to NI, is going to the richest 20% (while frozen tax allowances take money from everyone).

Has Victoria Derbyshire taken over permanently at Newsnight? Because I could get used to seeing Tories handed their arses every night.

Michelle Donelan: “We are the party of facts”

VT compilation of Tory lies

“There was never a proposal to use 7 bins, we can’t find any council that wants to decide when you can go to the shop & Labour have never proposed taxing meat. Is this how desperate the Tory party are now, you are making up stuff"
