This week for #MountainMonday I have the iconic scene of Mount Shuksan and Picture Lake in Washington State. One of the most photographed mountains in the area, and you can see why.
For #MountainMonday. I thought I'd post this now before the onslaught of real eclipse photos, fake eclipse photos, and AI eclipse photos. This is Mount Baker (Komo Kulshan) in Washington State with a rather nice bit of sunset light on the clouds behind.
For #MountainMonday I have this photograph of Mount Cheam (Lhílheqey) from Agassiz, BC. A nice fall day with the combination of autumn foliage and a bit of fresh snow in the mountains.
Spindrift is nice to photograph but with some sunset light on it - even better! This is Mount Redoubt in the North Cascades NP of Washington State, as photographed from Chilliwack Provincial Park in British Columbia.
Liberty Bell Mountain is reflected in the small streams in the meadows at Washington Pass during sunset - in the North Cascades of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest in Washington State, USA.
After direct sunlight had left Mount Shuksan, this band of purple and blue known as the "Belt of Venus" rose in the sky. Photo made from Kulshan Ridge in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest in Washington State, USA.
A fir tree stands in front of Mount Larrabee in the North Cascades of Washington State, USA. Photographed from the Fire and Ice Trail in the Heather Meadows area of the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.
View of Diablo Lake in North Cascades National Park, Washington State, USA. I thought of this photograph today as much of the mountains on the far, right side of the lake have burned in the #SourdoughFire recently. A few more (older) images of the area here:
View of Canadian Border Peak, Tomyhoi Peak, American Border Peak and Mount Larrabee from Heather Meadows picnic area in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest of Washington State, USA.
For #MountainMonday - Mount Baker (Kulshan) from Artist Point in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest in Washington State, USA. Fall is my favourite time of year to be up there, with the red blueberry bushes and cooler air.
