So apparently I haven’t talked about this for a while, so I’m rectifying this. Full disclosure- I am a cis-woman and have no family/friend in real life who is trans; but I’ll always be supportive to trans folks. At least that’s my intention.
I don’t call myself an Ally because frankly it’s not up to me. It’s up to trans people.

When you live in the south of the USA you sometimes have to hear things like if you are not woke in this country you can't exist...
You know what? What if god does not care about your gender? This would mean all of the churches combined have persecuted, bullied, and done so much wrong that it almost sounds like the work of the devil.
I honestly don't believe that the gender has anything relevant related to the struggle between good and evil.

#JKRowling’s entire timeline these days is dedicated exclusively to hating on trans women, who she imagines are swaths of cisgender men simply pretending to be trans in order to look at naked women or be housed in a women’s prison. She does not appear to think about anything else.

Reading a lot of old nonsense from men and women in their 50s and 60s saying they don't understand why their daughters in their 20s are not fussed about sharing changing rooms with trans women. Rather than dismissing them as wrong/naive/ignorant, how about listening to them and changing your own mind? I'm 62, and I did. #TransRightsAreHumanRights
The hate-mongering against trans and non-binary people is very real and not imagined.
It is not up to trans/non-binary/gender-fluid people to "seek help" when they're feeling persecuted by laws put into legislation to specifically target and discriminate against them.
Hate legislation is killing trans people, not mental illness.

I don't agree that the doctor has lied. Creating discrimination and hatred to a targeted, marginalized group of people does affect all of them, no matter what their age.
