This is a game camera photo taken in northwestern #NewMexico as part of a Wildlands Network study of the effect of solar development on #wildlife movement in the #FourCorners. Biologists know that #badgers and #coyotes sometimes hunt together, but photos capturing the phenomenon are very rare.
The project is funded by the US Department of Energy. My company, Resi, is conducting drone surveys for the project.
My new #painting is "Badgers beneath". I hope you like it.
#Badgers don't hibernate, but they do go into a kind of sleepy lethargy enabling them to sleep for days through the worst of the winter weather. Sensible! Here are four badgers, curled up together, safely embraced by the roots of an #oak.

It's kind of amazing that the Wisconsin Badgers, a middling 7-5 football team that finished 3rd in the Big Ten West, pulled a New Year's Day bowl game solely because its fanbase likes to travel and party - a lot. #OnWisconsin@cfb

The Badgers got angry and fought back for the lead.

And just like that Wisconsin takes a 21-14 lead on Georgia Southern
@emarktaylor@cfb@mastodonsports I'm happy that the #Badgers are winning, but am not pleased with the slow offensive starts the last two weeks. Luckily, I was spared the worst of today's game as I attended my daughter's soccer game (they won 8-0 and my daughter, the keeper, touched the ball once). #OnWisconsin
This is an absolute disgrace. Not content with having slaughtered 50% of English badgers, the government is yet again bowing to the UK dairy lobby (which won't rest until it has totally eradicated English badgers).
I'm already tired of the new #Wisconsin#Badgers Football Coach Luke Fickell. In every interview he's excited, he's excited about his exciting team starting an exciting season and how excited he is to be excited about being excited.
I hope he's not a bust, the Badgers needed a new direction, I want Fickell to bring some success back to the program. But I'm not excited!
One from my archive for #PhotoMonday#FotoMontag - a beautiful #Badger cub who was out exploring the grassland around his or her underground home when I visited the sett one afternoon.
