I know I post a lot of cute photos of #ApriCat. I don't want to give you the impression I'm the best #cat mum ever.
I'll be honest: The transition to having Apri around has been quite a challenge for me. Like, I didn't know that post-cat-adoption blues is a THING. And boy do I have it bad.
I play up to 2-3 hours a day with her, and even that's not enough. And then there's the random play bites and ambushes, which I know...

Rupert loved to be vacuumed. He would throw himself down in front of whatever was being vacuumed to make sure you didn't miss him. He'd roll around to make sure you got everywhere, even his tail, using the nozzle. Molly, though, had a running battle with the cleaner, hated it.

The preferred human is ill: she has finally succumbed to Covid19 because she abandoned me by leaving the house the other day. I did tell her that abandoning me was a terrible idea, but she didn't listen.
I am concerned she will pop joints out with all the coughing, but I am also upset by all the coughing, so I am staring at her, while also keeping my distance.
Did I mention the unacceptable levels of coughing?
Disaster! I went outside to shout at the humans when they came home last night, but I was so busy running around and shouting that I got locked out in the rain all night.
This morning, I was throwing myself at the back door, thinking I'd been abandoned. I was damp and starving!

Someone has broken my box, so it is not as comfy as it was. I present the evidence for public judgement. Impact assessment: there is nowhere for me to sleep and I am upset.
I was awake since midnight, tried to sleep again at 3am, after surfing online awhile, that was short lived, crazy thoughts kept going through my head, such as; "kill one of these cats. Make an example to the others" and "you want to go out? BOOT, say hello to the raccoons!"

I have a complaint. It has come to my attention that yesterday, 29th January, was International Colin Day. Not one person congratulated me. I was not given any treats or special food. There were no gifts left behind the wall in the front yard and Eric was just as annoying as always.
Incidentally, it was also national Curmudgeon Day, so I should have been doubly rewarded, yet I got nothing.
I like this letter in today's Guardian; it turns round what I would usually say about #vets; that they are an illustration of how expensive #healthcare is if its provisions is entirely privatised.
Rather Anne Cowper uses the experience of her #cat's treatment as a way of showing how great the #NHS could be if it was fully (and properly) funded.
Its a great rhetorical point, and although my warning still stands, she rightly puts the argument the other way (too)!

I can't think of that Sci-Fi show where the bad guy had a shock of hair coming down on one side, and I think plastic on the other. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
In any case, this cat, shows up to help remove food from the dish. Not a bad looking cat. Can't think of a good name yet.
