Oh apparently it's the Doom-iversary. My body must have known since I just read Doom Guy: Life in First Person. It's a good book, and the audiobook is read by John Romeo himself!
Hey, would you look at that, the Cacowards 2023 are now live! This is the first time I catch them right as they are released, so I'm looking forward to checking them out and seeing all the amazing content that came out this year. https://www.doomworld.com/cacowards/2023/ #Doom#BoomerShooters#Cacowards
#doom I love this game, I remember playing it as a new teen on a friend's computer. Soso kewl. Happy 30th Doom. My favorite tidbit of info about doom was that Doom guy was in it for revenge. He wanted justice for his pet #rabbit Daisy. ❤️ This bunmom understands.
Anyome out there play #Doom using the Tobi Accessibility Mod? If so, anyone could tell me how to install it right? I don't know what I'm doing. I got both Doom and Doom 2 on Steam because I thought that's what you needed. Any ideas? Thanks.
👹🔫 Doom for Super Nintendo is a significant technical achievement due to the console's limitations regarding 3D capabilities. It wouldn't have been possible without the use of the additional Super FX 2 chip. Nonetheless, rewriting the game engine was necessary. Recently, the author released the source code, and you can check its analysis on this YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JqP3ZzWiul0
It's already December 10 where I live. Happy 30th Anniversary #Doom !
This game really changed my life!
Sadly I don't have anything to show. How sad. I will though one day!
Check out my stuff on #Doomworld !
Happy 30th anniversary #Doom! Originally released on this day in 1993. Surely one of the games that made the PC platform what it is today and still remains a cracking First person shooter to this day. #retrocomputing#retrogaming
Let’s celebrate DOOM’s 30th anniversary, the legendary shooter that changed gaming forever. Since 1993, DOOM has inspired many games and left a lasting impact on pop culture. Experience the thrilling action, amazing design, and the iconic demons again. Happy 30th, DOOM!
This video shows DOOM 95, an official port of DOOM to Windows by Microsoft.
Decided for shits n' grins to port PureDOOM to my Dreambox fantasy console.
It was not hard at all, it turns out. Audio was probably the trickiest part, since Dreambox is really not super designed for streaming realtime audio (but it is technically doable)
#Doom was released OTD 30 years ago. It, and Wolfenstein, were so mind-blowingly good from a technical perspective that Xander Antoniades wanted to just flat-out interview Carmack and Romero. Software Development magazine didn't do "interviews," and "business numbers." I wrote an editorial calendar, clipped potential advertisers, commissioned some articles, and the first issue of Game Developer hit the streets in April 94. #ComputerMagazines#GDC#gamedev
