The chillies and I watching the rain.

Luckily, after a few hours in the sun, I was able to get the plants inside just before the rain started.

Today some of the beauties will be out for a few hours. The weather forecast is 20°C, no rain but a bit windy. I hope that is ok for the chillies. I also put the flowering plants outside. Fingers crossed the bees will find them.

Have a good time on your Sunday, too.

Oh wow, the first flower. I can hardly believe it. What do I do now?

Suggestions on pollination methods for indoor chilli plants are more than welcome.

I never expected to be so attached to plants.Three months ago I started with seeds and now they have become little bauties. A few days ago some of them looked a bit sick, but it seemed to be a lack of nutrition. They also survived a hailstorm. I am so sorry as I was a few minutes too late to get them back in time.

Some of my beloved chillie plants are getting strange leaves. The leaves look a bit crippled (sorry for the word).

Do you have any idea why this is happening and how to fix it?
I've already checked for pests such as small flies but couldn't find any.

My babies are growing so well. Now you can clearly see the difference between the two types of chillie plant: On the left a Habanero, a bit bushy, and on the right an Ufo, a taller plant.
Next week will be the first time I leave my sweethearts alone for a few days. I am curious to see how they look when I get back.

Look at this beauty :)
The chillies are doing very well.

They are still inside but today I am going to prepare the garden so I can move the chillies outside as soon as the temperature allows. Which is not going to be today or tomorrow, because the weather forecast says it will snow, brrrrrr!

Have a nice weekend.

I am very excited about the growing season ahead. So far the ufo and habanero chillies are doing well. Tomorrow I am going to repot some of them.

Have a nice day.

Oops, something went wrong. Two pots, same soil, same water, same sun, both ufo chilli seeds. The plants in the left pot have died, but the plant in the right pot is doing very well.

My tiny orchard.
Unintentional early (), from . Usually, I won't grow until March, as there is insufficient sunlight to promote growth. Winter are shipped and stored just above freezing. You can guess how old the Fresh Produce actually is, based on the fact that apple need about 90 days of near, or below freezing temperatures for (to sprout) four trees (so far) that I am here, sprouted in apples purchased in recent week.

I've never gotten over this. @ Pete's Frootique, for $3.99 ea. You think Apples are expensive, these aren't as big. I don't know why they are so expensive, they are difficult to use, they aren't edible like an apple, they are extremely hard, usually peeled and cooked into Jelly.

I know fruit trees don't grow like the parent, from seeds, but I keep wondering if these giant varieties would produce from seed? I'd invest $4 to try.

I have 100s of seeds now

Taking a day off, becuase 12 hours of warehouse clearance at the end of a long week yesterday have kinda killed me.

A day off means tackling one, or more, of the many very neglected home jobs. It's key to decide on and and go for it quickly because otherwise I'll sit here in a state of bewildered anxiety fed indecision all day regretting the decision to not do "work" work.

The decision is to tackle the conservatory side of the bogalow. Notes in the ALT text.

An area of wood paving outside a conservatory. To the right the white PVC and glass wall of the conservatory, ahead at the other side of the paving a red brick wall with a window in it near the junction between the brick wall and conservatory. In the distance maybe 10 metres further down the wall is another similar window and just visible another conservatory (neighbours). Below the near window are the round tiers of a worm farm and a small grey bin. Next to which is a dark red Weber kettle grill. Behind the kettle greenery is visible and to the foreground and left are a pair of light green and dark green wheelie bins. Outside the conservatory door is where the bins live, also the Weber kettle BBQ and our worm farm for warmer months (it goes inside the conservatory in the cold months). The worm farm really needs a higher stand to make it more accessible (especially the drainage spigot). There are some plants growing beyond the bins in low raised bottomless planters. There is a plan to replace the disintegrating wood pavers with large "council" cement ones we for via Freecycle and have stacked up just behind the bins.
An area of cleared but lightly weedy ground alongside a red brick wall, to the right is a high weedy area, and to the foreground a concrete path. This is the patch in front of the conservatory that was all grass when we moved in, patchy weedy grass. We turned it into a wildflower patch which has got a bit messy and very thistly. So that needs strimming and at some point some weeding and reseeding. We cleared this area next to the conservatory with the intention of putting down pavers, still intend to... but that's a job for after the pub is finished. Today's job it just to tidy it up.

yvan,
@yvan@toot.ale.gd avatar

So the conservatory inside is now tidy and reconfigured as a support space. It's always been a bit of a space anyway. All the home gardening stuff is in here now.

AFTER An organised conservatory with plants and garden stuff on shelves and a clear table in the centre ready for some work to be done!

, if you can, stare at a for a while. I know it sounds but just go. When you're there, ask yourself if the tree had anxiety about . Do you think the tree is worried about rain tomorrow or the drought in the ? Does it regret not growing to the left? No, of course not. Then neither should we. Don't worry about the future so much, and don't what you can't change. Just be like the tree and live for today.
