Today some of the beauties will be out for a few hours. The weather forecast is 20°C, no rain but a bit windy. I hope that is ok for the chillies. I also put the flowering plants outside. Fingers crossed the bees will find them.
My babies are growing so well. Now you can clearly see the difference between the two types of chillie plant: On the left a Habanero, a bit bushy, and on the right an Ufo, a taller plant.
Next week will be the first time I leave my sweethearts alone for a few days. I am curious to see how they look when I get back.
Look at this beauty :)
The chillies are doing very well.
They are still inside but today I am going to prepare the garden so I can move the chillies outside as soon as the temperature allows. Which is not going to be today or tomorrow, because the weather forecast says it will snow, brrrrrr!
Oops, something went wrong. Two pots, same soil, same water, same sun, both ufo chilli seeds. The plants in the left pot have died, but the plant in the right pot is doing very well.
My tiny #apple orchard.
Unintentional early #trees (#Treelings), from #seed. Usually, I won't grow until March, as there is insufficient sunlight to promote growth. Winter #apples are shipped and stored just above freezing. You can guess how old the Fresh Produce actually is, based on the fact that apple #seeds need about 90 days of near, or below freezing temperatures for #stratification (to sprout) four trees (so far) that I am #growing here, sprouted in apples purchased in recent week.
I've never gotten over this. #Quince @ Pete's Frootique, for $3.99 ea. You think Apples are expensive, these aren't as big. I don't know why they are so expensive, they are difficult to use, they aren't edible like an apple, they are extremely hard, usually peeled and cooked into Jelly.
I know fruit trees don't grow like the parent, from seeds, but I keep wondering if these giant varieties would produce from seed? I'd invest $4 to try.
Taking a day off, becuase 12 hours of warehouse clearance at the end of a long week yesterday have kinda killed me.
A day off means tackling one, or more, of the many very neglected home jobs. It's key to decide on and and go for it quickly because otherwise I'll sit here in a state of bewildered anxiety fed indecision all day regretting the decision to not do "work" work.
The decision is to tackle the conservatory side of the bogalow. Notes in the ALT text.
So the conservatory inside is now tidy and reconfigured as a #gardening support space. It's always been a bit of a #growing space anyway. All the home gardening stuff is in here now.
#Today, if you can, stare at a #tree for a while. I know it sounds #silly but just go. When you're there, ask yourself if the tree had anxiety about #growing. Do you think the tree is worried about rain tomorrow or the drought in the #future? Does it regret not growing to the left? No, of course not. Then neither should we. Don't worry about the future so much, and don't #regret what you can't change. Just be like the tree and live for today.
I just never thought the sight of a good lettuce could be so aesthetically pleasing
