"Love Hormone Oxytocin Eases Loneliness"

https://neurosciencenews.com/loneliness-oxytocin-26137/

"A new study finds that oxytocin, the 'cuddle hormone,' can reduce acute feelings of loneliness and enhance bonding in group therapy settings for individuals experiencing chronic loneliness.

While not a cure-all, oxytocin shows promise as a supportive tool during therapy, potentially helping patients better navigate the initial challenges of addressing their loneliness."

To HRT or not to HRT?
The question of how to manage menopause is one that half the population will grapple with at some point in their life.
And if a science journalist who's written extensively about women's health and hormones is struggling to answer it, what does that say about how well society is supporting people through this transition?

If transmasculine people taking testosterone experience improvements in their long covid symptoms, and transfeminine people taking estrogen experience the opposite, then the way sex differences in covid presentation are talked about need to include these realities. Parts of the Icelandic medical establishment have been having a moral panic over topological hormonal medicine for menopausal cis women, with numerous op-eds being written in journals and newspapers.

The problem — if there is a problem at all — is insufficient instructions and advice from endocrinologists and pharmacists.

In 2020 recall reading a tiny blip of an article about exercise post Covid & WILL eventually hunt it down

Swore it was WP but searching “Washington post, Covid exercise” is getting me mostly pro exercise articles🤦🏻‍♀️ such as this gem from my favorite 🙄🙄Covid resource Leana Wen /s

Written in 2023 but 2024, they are FINALLY pointing out obvious truth

Story showed up in my NYT app feed b/c clearly I’m obsessed w/obits

Still 78 is pretty young considering her access to wealth & healthcare

  • soit le gel marche pas sur moi;

(But do check side effects of treatments if people are on other meds, have high eye pressure or , and so on...)
