The first approach to "warehouses", channels, rooms. Personally, I don't like the solutions seen on #reddit, but people seem to like them. And yet, the user interface is for people, not for themselves. At least to a large extent.
While reddit's layout isn't fully polished (many subreddit-related modules and pages still use the old layout), I decided to use a drop-down menu that I don't like and redesign it a bit.
Unfortunately, the information funnel is a matter that affects all media, the Internet, press, television, etc. Even if the operator does not block anything, a person is not able to assimilate all information. And what if we add information noise and disinformation to this.
In the case of a narrow topic such as #fediverse, there is also the issue of its low popularity. There are simply no users on the Polish #kbin instance who could at least point out the mistakes made. And since man is constantly learning, or rather should be learning, I decided to move to international waters.
In the Polish instance I was spamming as grumpydev @grumpyDev
Adobe XD to niestety trochę takie XD i trzeba własnoręcznie dopasować skalowanie makiety do ekranu.
Like #Friendica, /kbin can ban trolls from participating in groups.
Unlike Friendica, you can remove posts local to where the group is hosted.
Unfortunately, the offending comments still appears in user timelines because other Fediverse servers do not delete after comments are removed locally.
Another alternative could be #Calckey which supports groups through "Channels". However these do NOT federate.
Hmm I'm considering moving away from #Lotide relatively soon. It's okay, but a bit barebones, and there hasn't been much development over the past year or two.
Only question is, do I switch to #Lemmy, or #Kbin? I've been against #Lemmy for awhile but now they made the word blacklist optional.
Is it just me or have discussions on #Lemmy / #Kbin (aka Reddit-like corner of fedi) become longer and deeper since #Reddit started doing a stupid with third-party client API?
@rysiek I have noticed that if I boost an interesting thread from Lemmy instance, people from all over the fediverse are more likely to join the discussion. I think it's more natural than a group-boost-bot. As for #kbin, at this stage, I am very careful about choosing the places I write about the project. This is also the time when everyone can express their opinion on how platforms should communicate with each other, so I invite you to discuss https://codeberg.org/Kbin/kbin-core/issues/3 ;)
@ernest a szkoda.
