An electrolyzer uses #electricity to split water into hydrogen and oxygen & it’s believed the 3 stations will help support a North Vancouver facility which liquefies upwards of 15 tonnes of hydrogen per day.
"We processed our huge clams harvest from our weekend village clam digging. We have extra clam meat for you. Froze them & I can drop off some freezer bags filled with them. I'll be in your area tonight, so let me know when you'll be around!"
My Indigenous friends are very kind, generous & thoughtful 💗 They bring my family seafood, year round.
All hostas are fully #edible - from root to shoots to stems to foliage to flowers. Roots/shoots/leaves taste like combo of asparagus & endives - cook them up, in similar ways. Flowers can be sugared & they taste like raw honey.
#DeathCamas - all parts of plant are #toxic & shouldn't be handled. Only bee that can tolerate its toxins is the specialist mining bee. Toxic to animals, especially sheep. Humans have been poisoned after ingesting bulbs; kids have been poisoned after ingesting flowers & flower buds.
I'm not sure I even count as a photographer in the Pacific Northwest if I haven't posted any pictures from a ferry. Here's a few from a recent back-and-forth across Puget Sound for an assignment on an exceptionally clear day a couple weeks back.

Rats dug up 5 of my snow pea plants. Peanut butter baited traps are going back out in specific spots - tonight.
I tied some remaining snow pea plants up. More snow peas will be transplanted in 2 weeks.
My other plant seedlings are slowly growing in one small DIY greenhouse.
Pink purple #DamesRockets are blooming, all around our gardens. Often mistaken with phlox. Phlox has 5 flower petals. Dames rockets have 4. It's an established invasive on Vancouver Island. I leave it as it's not choking out other plants & pollinators love them. I remove many other invasives.
Low hanging clouds obscure the 1250m+ mountains on either side, with the forest and river contending for space in the valley. #river#pacificnorthwest#nature#hiking
