Alright, the first rain in weeks is expected today and we've got the first IBC installed to collect some from the roof - just in time! 600l capacity there and got another 1000l one to install off the garage. S we should be ok for water now. You know, as long as it rains.
Might need to protect it from the sunlight though - unsure how UV resistant they are. #gardening#water#rain
The prettiest #apple#tree in our inner garden. It doesn't produce the best apples but the spectacular bright blossoms in spring fully make up for that! 🍏🌳 @plants
Rain, oh glorious #rain! Last night and today #DMI finally got it right and for the first time in almost three weeks we had some ('bout a cm) precipitation!
Everything plant like just looks fresh, healthy and uplifted (quite literally in the case of spruce branches)
#SevenOnSunday in honour of our #RainySeason really kicking in! Pics taken in mid-week when we had some serious rain (Tues night through Thurs morning) and this weekend has seen it continue. After warm/dryish weather, exciting to see some of the longest #rain spells we've had in years (it hasn't been terribly dry here, but our rainy season is usually composed of frequent rather than long rains + thunderstorms that dump a lot of water fast, rather than all day/multi day events.) #june#Alberta

Bizarre, unforecasted #CalWx in Ukiah Valley extending east over the Mayacamas range into Lake Co.
We went from partly sunny to partly cloudy, with wind gusts and increased humidity an hour ago.
It's now quite dim out.
We are having intermittent drizzle with huge slow raindrops.
There is continuous rumbling thunder to the east, which has black clouds. #rain#thunder#ThunderAndLightning#MayWeather#Ukiah#MendocinoCounty#LakeCounty#weather
In fact, I appreciate it so much that I'm taking some of it home with me.
It's a few years since I've stopped using portable lightning rods… I mean, umbrellas. I found them inconvenient, not very effective when it's windy, and what's wrong with being wet in the summer anyway? You can smile to other soaked up people.
Tidbit: The branches of my neighbor’s lemon tree cross the walls of my back porch and according to an Indian Supreme Court ruling, I can do whatever I choose to do with them 🫰
