#AllGetOut is such a great band. If you like the sound of #ManchesterOrchestra, then give AGO a try. I find myself spinning this album the least out of their LPs, but whenever I put it on, I'm reminded how good it is. Plus, it's a really nice colorway.
The 2015 EMI/Parlophone #Bowie remasters really do sound great. There are so many variations of this record (I have several including a UK first and a MOFI) but this one gets pulled out the most even though it’s from a digital source, which I would typically condemn on principle. Artist Dani Gal has a collection of 700 spoken-word vinyl records that tell a partial history of the 20th century, from Gandhi and Goebbels to Golda Meir and Gamal Nasser. Ahead of a new exhibition at Vancouver's Polygon Gallery, he spoke to Montecristo's Peter Watts about what he's learned from these records, and the stories that aren't told.
