AT&T has begun notifying state authorities and regulators after millions of customer records posted online last month were found to be authentic.

Reports @TechCrunch: "In a legally required filing with Maine’s attorney general’s office, the U.S. telco giant said it sent out letters notifying more than 51 million people that their personal information was compromised in the data breach."

", the U.S. telco giant said it sent out letters notifying more than 51 million people that their personal information was compromised in the data breach, including around 90,000 individuals in Maine.
AT&T — the largest telco in the United States — said that the breached data included customers’ full name, email address, mailing address, date of birth, phone number and Social Security number."😱

are a bunch of amateur clowns on the take. They give off an illusion they are fighting for the consumer, but are actual paid proxy for the scammers.

Take a look at meshtastic.org. It is a global mesh network that is seriously gaining momentum.
If there is a event (i.e. anarchy, natural disaster) that wipes out the cellular network, meshtastic network will still work using device nodes spread across the globe.

Negative User Experience on "Chat with us".

Previously had hours wasted by Optus chat workers.
Not going down that path again.

Start chat.

Put in details and specific request.

Optus tells me a operator is reviewing my message to get an understanding of what I'm wanting.

Operator comes on line, asks for details.

I say "Already entered".

Operator posts that they're reviewing my message to get an understanding of what I'm wanting.

skua,
@skua@mastodon.social avatar

And ... it took over 80 minutes to have a human operator engage in the "Message Us " chat support this morning.

The person says they're very busy.
But I can with another complaint person!

I'm thinking Enshitification has a history back to the privatisation of like electricity, gas, sewerage, water, & .

@olafurw In , laws enforced by @BNetzA require telcos to literally tell customers annually if their plan is still the best in terms of price and performance.

If your email address TLD has more than 4 characters, you can't sign into Public Mobile any more. They switched to "EverSafe", Telus' auth provider, a month ago.

I'm currently going back and forth with support over it. For which I had to create a second account to even access the community website.

Try it yourself! visit https://myaccount.publicmobile.ca and enter any TLD with 5 or more characters to see the error message.
