Okay, so, cards on the table, I am published as a mixed methods, social science researcher and have helped co-author multiple reports on LGBTQIA+ public mental health and community experiences. Let's just say, I ain't no amateur on this topic.
So, something that drives me nuts in conversations about trans healthcare and especially trans youth gender-affirming care is that people don't understand basic statistical reasoning.

To all the people who keep reporting my mutual aid posts for "spam", just know that my instance admins arent gonna listen to your bigotry and classism. You are just wasting your energy. Please be mindful of how your actions affect other people. People who post mutual aid posts are allowed to post them in ways that allow them to reach the maximum amount of people possible. That's the whole point of asking for mutual aid. You do it in a way so that others know of the situation and so they can donate to help.
I dont care of you think i use "too many hashtags" or that i post "too often", if you dont want to see my mutual aid posts you can just mute them or block me, nobody is forcing you to see them or donate to me.
