I'm running a magic academy #adventure for one of my #dnd parties.
One of them is a lovely, gifted and very, very caring teacher IRL.
This is their reaction to almost everything that's happening in that academy and the absolute lack of ensuring the safety of students at every turn (the reminder they signed a waiver is insufficient).
Still thinking about our madcap gaming session last night. The whole group was rolling so many Advantages and very, very few Successes that it just turned into... how to describe it? My net runner was in a slap fight with a scientist dual wielding syringes, and neither of us could land a blow. When we finally got to "let's blow this thing and go home!" it was a blessed relief. #ShadowOfTheBeanstalk#Genesys#TTRPG
Some lad on here gearing up for a gangbusters campaign. I had so much fun with that game back in the day...
I remember playing a deranged Evangelical beat cop who would do things like hold a car full of rowdy college guys at gunpoint and force them to sing 'Onward Christian soldiers' he also locked a bunch of mobsters in a burning speakeasy and opined that 'God will reclaim his own'
@Taskerland Gangbusters is easily one if the five most important RPGs in my development as a gamer. I still love it so much. It did so much to introduce me to aspects of the hobby that would keep me in it for life.
My current WIP, really happy with how this classic Warhammer Wight Lord is coming out. Always wanted to paint him so trying to give him a very special paintjob
Writeups.org (est. 1999) has thousands of detailed fictional character profiles. Chiefly from #comics (principally #dccomics and #marvelcomics), but with a large selection of #videogames, pulp novels, movies, etc. characters.
It is primarily a #TTRPG site. But it is often used by #fanfic folks, comics fans, gamers, #cosplay makers, or just to look at the pictures.
You can follow writeups.org's RSS feed on the Fedi, via @www.writeups.org@rss-parrot.net .
With the recent Northern Lights occurrence, I'm #worldbuilding thinking about all the the weird beautiful stuff aberrant Aurora Borealis could represent in #TTRPG settings and games. What kind of amazing discoveries does it hold? What terrifying truths hide behind its beauty?
Though I've been drifting away from #DND5e for a while now, it's still feels really weird to be completely uninterested in the latest releases. I mean, not even a twinge of FOMO.
@Tim_Eagon Yeah. Right now, I’ve only been interested if the #dnd product has a story premise which interests me. Journey Through the Radiant Citadel was the last which interested me. #ttrpg
