I don't have any recommendations, but I do have a question: what's the purpose of a masto client on linux when there's like... Firefox? Not a slight against people who use them I legitimately want to know bc I've been seeing a few of them on the Fedora software store of late.

As a content creator, I’m all for getting more money, but forcing users to watch ads isn’t the way to do it… I think YouTube would lose a lot of viewers if they enforced this on everyone, and creators would suffer as a result.

Everytime I go on Odysee, the content there seems to drift more and more towards conspiracy theories, complete disinformation and nonsense, or at worst ultra racist / xenophobic / hateful rethoric. The staff has a history of just saying amen to everything, including white supremacist stuff.

I’ve been thinking of abandoning it (I would keep PeerTube as the alternative to YouTube for people who really don’t want to use YT). Out of curiosity, a little poll about my content:

This is actually why I moved to watching you on instead - I love the idea behind , but unfortunately it does have aspects which appeal to that alt-right body of the internet searching for a platform because they were "silenced by the mainstream platforms"
