Any time a politician sets a future goal beyond the scope of their current term of office, such as "carbon neutral by 2033" or whatever, it means they don't want to do it, but they want you to think they do. That's all it means. It's not a "good start". It's not "better than nothing". And beware of people who say "At least they're acknowledging the problem somehow." It's not policy at all. It's just a lie, and its purpose is to buy time for more harm to be done.

Scolding people to "get vaccinated" is one of the most counter-productive things you can do. Its only practical purpose is to make you feel superior. Measles, Covid and other diseases aren't spreading because "people" are "being stupid". They're spreading because of your government's decision to stop doing public health, which included real community vaccination outreach. It's no wonder why it's so difficult to hold Trump and Boris Johnson to account for their crimes. Mainstream culture and legal systems had already failed when no one who planned the invasion of Iraq was held to account, despite world-wide opposition, and the terrible slaughter. Bush Jr. and Tony Blair's fun and profitable post-office careers are testament to the fact that our systems for preventing crimes against humanity weren't just flimsy, but a total sham.
