Just in case someone tells you "we know what our users want": When visiting new cities, I'm regularly using #HappyCow to find the most hip neighborhood. As clustering of good #vegan offers is often times a perfect indicator of like-minded people, culture and atmosphere around. This is for me a way better guide than anything #GoogleMaps, #LonelyPlanet or #Booking can offer.

Sigh. Woke up. Rebased. Tried to start the project. #TypeScript is acting up. Based on main on code that has already been tested, merged, checked. So here I am in next 40 minutes going to try to clean caches, remove build artifacts and for a good measure also wipe&install node_modules to try to get going.
Tell me how is this making me productive.

Security "experts" don't want to hear this: But forcing people to log in more often does, in fact, increase the likelihood that:

• Someone will shouldersurf your password
• People will find shortcuts to make logging in more convenient
• People will chose passwords that are least annoying to them irrespective to how secure it is
• Phishing attacks are more successful

The notion that development with #TypeScript is a bliss can IMO only come from simple, Hello World applications. Once you venture into the spaghetti monsters of real world applications you will spend way more time fighting with the tool than actually writing code 😢

The room that will be my home office in the new house was, for the former owners, an "exercise room," the door of which they had removed and put into a storage room, and two walls of which were festooned with climbing-wall handholds.

It's been seven weeks since we moved in, and #today I finally re-hung the door and took down all the handholds.
