@Jaden3 speaking of which, need to schedule my next ink session. Getting some pine trees on my outer forearm to celebrate the memory of summertime camping with my mom.

She was a preschool teacher so we both had summers off. We'd camp a lot in the summers. Good memories.

has filed a corrected version of his private investigator’s affidavit regarding Wade’s phone records.

The previous version indicated that & Wade exchanged around 12,000 texts over 11 months in 2021.

That has been corrected to 12,000 “interactions” over 11 months.

ADDED: “Interactions” includes voice calls and text messages, according to the affidavit.

@NickEast @reading @bookstodon @bookbubble @books Cotton Crossing. A zombie apocalypse novel by @lilithsaintcrow which I am enjoying quite a bit, and would recommend. I am enjoying the standard tropes but told by a women author. It's nice to see the macho ex military hero being a decent person rather than a testosterone fueled gun shooting bro.

    @lilithsaintcrow I picked up Cotton Crossing a little bit ago, and just started reading. Having fun so far! I grew up in a small hick country town, so your take on those characters make me laugh a little, in a good way. Just had our first zombie attack, can't wait to see it get rolling.

    Shit yesterday the subject of white privilege was discussed in college 😐. I got in a big ass argument with this white guy 😅😅.
    Basically he said ' Jaden you got the same chances in life I got . Actually you got more because you are black and companies want to increase diversity '. 🤷🏿

    @Jaden3 That's the "white victim" narrative. It's bullshit, but it's easy for the privilege to believe. they have to believe it, their entire identity is wrapped up in it. and change is scary. :)

    I think of this quote a lot in situations like these, no idea who said it originally.

    @mekkaokereke I ran across this really excellent video on AAE, from PBS that helped me understand that its a real dialect, with it's own rules and grammar, and it is completely legit.

    BTW, I've been better about blocking and muting the people who keep cluttering my mentions with b.s.

    If someone tells me something untrue, which I know came from the misinformation echo chamber I often write about, I offer something to read.

    If the person pushes back and keeps lecturing me about how Jack Smith is screwing up (or whatever) I block them.

    They can scream into the void.

    I'm here for the people who want my perspective.

    I cannot wear myself out with people in the echo chamber.

    So I've been on for nearly 10 days and I'm absolutely loving it. Far better place than , which is now just a Nazi website, to be honest. I love that this place is overall left-leaning, albeit there is a bit of cognitive dissonance with respect to some users who appear left-leaning until, Allah/God forbid, you mention .

    Anyway, there's just one thing I've noticed so far. I'm kinda embarrassed to ask but... Where are all the Black people? Any Mideasterners here too? 😕
