I need to buy pea plant seeds to raise aphids, and the seeds cannot have any pesticides on them. NONE. Does anyone know a trustworthy supplier?

@futurebird Perhaps Sprout People? I order all of my sprouting supplies from them.🌱

The urban-rural death divide is getting alarmingly wider for working-age Americans

The cause is unclear, but poverty and worsening health care access are likely factors.

@arstechnica In the second time period (2017-2019), Roe has not yet been overturned. It’s going to be worse now.

“Breaking causes down by gender, rural working-age women saw a 313-percent increase in mortality from pregnancy-related conditions between the study's two time periods, the largest increase of the mortality causes.”

Just love this photo of my wisteria. They smell heavenly and the bees love them. @gardening

ScruffyJunco,
@ScruffyJunco@sfba.social avatar

@kwheaton @gardening I once saw a squirrel carrying a big clump of wisteria blossoms up to her nest. I don’t know if she planned to eat it — or maybe she liked the fragrance!

I remain convinced:

Trump DC J6 case will happen this spring.

And it will result in a conviction this spring.

This immunity question has caused a delay, but it will be a delay of weeks, not months.

    The only peaceful way to prevent Trump from becoming President will be to beat him resoundingly at the ballot box. Peaceful but still an intense, effortful undertaking. I don’t know whether we will succeed, but I will do all I can to help.

    @ScruffyJunco@sfba.social avatar

    @heidilifeldman Vote early if you can. Then volunteer to drive people to the polls on Election Day. If you have the time, serve as a Poll Worker. If you’re interested in that, contact your Elections Office right away to sign up for training.

    Besides the title it has some statistics, and otherwise talks about the social aspects of either trying to not catch , or having caught it and suffering consequences. I recommend reading, as parts of it describe my life.

    @viq @novid @covid19 The long-term impact of COVID is just so terribly sad. And I feel despondent with the widespread cognitive dissonance. So many people have fooled themselves into thinking we’re back to normal. Nothing is normal anymore.

    I finally have a day where I can just be quiet.

    Life has been coming at me pretty intensely lately. Today my soul can finally sit back and go:
    "So... THAT happened..."
    and just digest it.

    Not much for words, gonna take a day to just be present. If you wanna take a moment too, drop a toot we can for a little while.
