Grapes On The Vine

Living within a stones throw from California's famous Napa Valley certainly has it's advantages.
I do prefer the late summer and fall for shooting any images at the wineries as the grape vines are full of foliage and bursting with fruit. Right around harvest time the vines start changing color as most broad leaf trees do at this time of year. Went for a 40 Mile ride through last Saturday. I was too late and the heat nearly killed me. Not enough water and shade for the scorching temperatures of 38C/100F. I got some water at a Coffeeshop in Yountville. Definitely underestimated the weather conditions. But hey, the landscape is amazing and the smell of nature makes me feel dizzy

Our firm is overseeing the senior living (60+) strategic plan for Napa County and when asked how people receive emergency/evacuation information one person wrote in:

Napa Morning

I love driving up into the Napa Valley in the late fall and early spring in the early morning. The weather is cooler and the roads are less crowded. On top of that the sun is lower in the sky and seems to create excellent lighting of the vineyards.
