@tantramar I'm about (well, this week sometime) to pull the undersink garbage disposal and install an RO system in my kitchen. Not looking forward to it, although as far as plumbing goes, this is one of the easiest.

Done it before. I hate plumbing. Lol.

@tantramar Uuuugh. Tell you what, though, we have moved completely away from copper and use PEX almost exclusively now. I know it's plastic, but repairs are so much easier, and it's a cinch to work with. No mapp gas required.

Because apparently you needed some unasked for advice. ;)

Sure. Why not? All those private prison companies need bodies so they can overcharge the state by 3, 4 times the amount needed to house and feed them.

I'm sorry, but none of these series based on video games will ever truly capture the essence of the game until we see an episode where it just stops half way through and it forces you to start from the beginning or just crashes entirely and you can't watch the episode until they "fix the bug" in the next episode that they release.

My brother and I were driving through this small decaying town called Barnett, Mo, and we passed this old mill that looked very old, and grown over. It was covered with cool old signage, and looked really interesting, but there were 5 older people sitting in front of it by a table, and a hand painted sign that says Toxic Club. So, we drive back around, because we had to know, so we pull in, and ask "What is the Toxic Club?", and they say they are just out there most days with coffee and donuts to make sure that people get something to eat, and drink and have someone to chat with. That doesn't sound toxic at all, it sounds lovely.

Maybe I'm weird for a trained capitalist, but it seems to me that Universal Basic Income would be a boon for the economy and not a detriment. Why?

Because people could then do the work THEY WANT TO DO.

Humans find happiness and fulfillment in work. I'm not talking about the corpo 9-5 grind, I'm talking real work. Making things. Doing creative work.

Ancient people had no bosses, but they worked. They fed their families, they made things, they had time in the evenings to draw on cave walls. Invent. Innovate.

Whatever.

I have more fully formed thoughts around this, but I'm tired.

Suffice it to say that modern work is not a natural state. It's completely artificial and it's killing us.

Like, my childhood is literal nightmare fuel for them. Haha

Q2. What do you recommend for utility trailers? What's best for light-duty?
What's best for heavy-duty (>150lb, for carrying @scottsthoughts's bartending gear (coolers, ice, folding tables, etc)?
How do they attach to your cycle?

Whenever a video game franchise gets rebooted/adapted for any kind of mass medium - as may happen with the new Fallout tv series - some people go back and play the games again, and, if you are one of those and you haven't tried Fallout 4 with the Sim Settlements 2 mod and you kind of liked Fallout 4 but want it to be a vastly better and even EPIC game? I'm no Inside-Baseball-level gamernerd but HOLY SHIT TRY FALLOUT 4 WITH SIM SETTLEMENTS 2.

They just wrapped it with the Chapter 3 release last fall and it makes it a whole new game, like both on a society-rebuilding level and on a fucking-up-post-apocalyptic-Nazis level. And if you LIKE to fuck up post apocalyptic Nazis - and honestly who doesn't? - man, you have some fun in store.
