Glasgow is famous for architecture and music, so for a bit of Christmas Eve fun, I've combined the two. These are nine Glasgow locations name-checked in songs by well-known artists or groups. Can you name all nine locations and songs?
There's no prize on offer, just the opportunity to show off your knowledge of the city.
Feel free to post your answers below. There's bonus points on offer if you come up with different songs for these locations to the ones I did.
hey, quick reminder that i'm also on Bluesky. @tubetime.bsky.social. should i migrate over? i don't use twitter anymore, and mastodon doesn't have many non-techy folks.
@tubetime I think mastodon does have those people, just that you've not necessarily found them yet, but I have to admit that's not who I'm after but I'd say my non techy folks on here are of a fairly high quality

It is a Handmaiden’s Tale level nightmare now in Texas, where Lubbock has become the largest county where it is illegal to travel through the county to receive abortion services in another state. This is what predictably happens when you throw a fundamental question of human rights “back to the states” to decide. We need Roe v. Wade and its legal protections codified.
I don't think I'd be good at podcasting or streaming. I'd think of what to say, say it in my head, and then self-edit by deciding it's not worth saying out loud.
Bouts of silence peppered with an occasional statement that barely peaks at average quality. Maybe the occasional bon mot, as a treat.
So I stick to writing, where editing is baked into the process. Where I can fine-tune as I please. And where overly-self-conscious-imposed silence goes largely unnoticed, if not greatly appreciated.
Thinking about the time I suggested Mastodon to someone on Discord but they said it had a bad name and it is too decentralised. I mean, Mastodon is so much better as a name than "X". At least it doesn't sound like an adult site and how can something be too decentralised?
Said person also said you had to make a million accounts to join Mastodon...
