44100 Hz or 48000 Hz for ?
Personally I usually go with 48000 Hz because it somehow feels more "natural" to me than 44100 Hz (as half of 96000 Hz or a quarter of 192000 Hz). Made my life easier a few times when I wanted to for too.

Does anyone else maintain (s) for their (s)?
I enter all configuration adjustments and (s) in a file for each machine.
This might seem like unnecessary extra work, but has paid off several times for the sake of traceability or in the past. 🤓

Does anyone else use the Dual Display (Arranger/Mixer) setting in on a single monitor from time to time? I find it nice to have the mixer and device chain always visible (and context sensitive) while working on an arrangement, and to have the latter always visible as well. On a big enough screen at least, this can be a very comfortable approach for me.

I cannot figure out how to install a application with an additional locale. On my workstation, is installed with en only, while on my laptop it is installed with en, de. I would like to install de on my workstation as well. If anyone has any advice on how to do this, thanks in advance. 🫣

SocaLabs goes ! 🥳 https://socalabs.com/linux-versions-released/
Update: SocaLabs went Linux (long ago) and I wasn't aware that this is actually old news. 🫣😝

And then this:
"We also rewrote our graphics engine to be more responsive and efficient. Painting our interface on your computer's GPU gives us native hardware acceleration, and more CPU is now available for your audio. Also, knobs pop more and scopes have a fresh look."

One of the #bitwig 5.2 #feature (s) I am looking forward too:
"Mouseless navigation is a breeze in Bitwig Studio 5.2. With Bitwig’s default key commands, your arrow keys can now send you between relevant points of interest in clips or on the Arranger Timeline, or even between different tracks in your project."

Today is a special day for me and I think for all #linuxaudio #musician (s).
Sinevibes, a true innovator in the field of unique yet easy to use #audio #effect (s) #plugin (s), joins the #linux #musicproduction family by releasing Integer, their new digital-analog buffer device, as their first native Linux plug-in. 🥳🥰
Get it here: https://www.sinevibes.com/integer/
PD: They created their first plug-in almost 20 years ago and were all in on Linux at the time. So in a way this is like "The Return to Linux"! 🤓

Have any of you #linuxaudio users experience with VSTGUI in conjunction with Linux? https://github.com/steinbergmedia/vstgui
Can a #vendor who maintains Windows and macOS plug-ins with #vstgui assume that Linux #build (s) should be farily easy to create?

stand(s).
They are coming along quite well but are a bit steep at 45°.
And I have absolutely no idea why, but the threads I made (which are M5) do not fit either M5 (too big) or M6 (too small) screws, so I am thinking of glue as a possible "fix" for this. 🤔🫣

A very interesting #plugin #vendor asks me about a recommendation for a #reliable #laptop with a super #stable #operatingsystem as a base to be able to reliably package their plugins for #linux. What would you recommend? Maybe something like a #starfighter or a #framework or something more mainstream like a #thinkpad and probably running #ubuntu or #fedora? They are completely new to #linuxaudio but willing to go all in. ✨🌟

I would like to create a small as a starting point for developers who want to support as a platform for . I plan to interview existing like u-he, TAL, AudioThing, Bitwig and others about this. Who of you would like to accompany and/or support me with this? 😊

@thunderbird How would I debug not being fetched with 115.9.0 (64-bit) ? New tasks created in Thunderbird are pushed to the CalDAV server but such that are created on other devices are not pulled. The tasks sync fine with Tasks.org on my Android phone. I already tried to look at the Flatpak log, but nothing related shows up.

I am still struggling to some (s) using a DAW. Is there any way I can see what resources the plugins are trying to access from within the Flatpak ? Running with flatpak run -v com.bitwig.BitwigStudio does not reveal anything and flatpak run --command=sh --devel com.bitwig.BitwigStudio > gdb /app/bin/bitwig-studio (after installing org.freedesktop.Sdk.Debug) only says: (No debugging symbols found in /app/bin/bitwig-studio)
