Alright, I did it. It took me from April 1 until today, June 23, but I read the complete works of Aristotle. 🥳

What next, you ask? Probably the main works two more times. Organon was really hard and I have a long way to go before mastery is even in sight.

What do you think #Hamas' plan is? I mean I get it and impressive, sure, but where's the chance of success? Syria has no Air Force, Lebanon is collapsing and Hezbollah apparently isn't interested, Libya doesn't exist anymore, KSA is best friends with Israel now and can't beat the Houthis anyway, Iraq is still recovering from the last fifty disasters, so what Egypt and Qatar are going to come and save you or Iran's gonna start a regional war over it? I don't think so.

Any of you using the #Brave #search. What do you think? I just switched yesterday because #DuckDuckGo got a lot worse after Microsoft downmodded Wikipedia in #Bing (probably to make space for their shitty "AI"). So far it seems pretty good in general but very poor for local things here in Sweden.

Well, I was going to re-read Aristotle but I'm actually a bit burnt out after that, so I'm moving on to "Buddha." I started the Sutta Piṭaka today. I'm done with the first two in Digha Nikāya and they weren't that long but there sure are a lot of them, so I think this is going to take a few months but won't be as difficult. Only thing that stresses me a bit is I wanted to re-do Nicomachean Ethics but I really needed the variation... hmm.

So, I think I'm going to get a #Fairphone 5. I heard the Camera is not amazing but it's got to be better than my ancient Samsung Xcover 5.

The main thing that sold me is that the USB port is replaceable. This is what always breaks on my phones.

Unfortunately, it's not as water-proof as an Xcover phone but the whole Xcover line seems pointless now since the phones don't last long and they're not really upgrading the hardware between generations.

Do you suck at making stove-top popcorn? I did too until today. I think I've finally mastered it. Here's what I did: put the bot on the stove on high with a teaspoon of water in it and the lid off. Let the water evaporate off and then put one teaspoon of oliveoil in the pot, tipping the pot around to cover the bottom. Then put in 50g of popcorn kernels in and put the lid on. It should start popping immediately. Shake the pot around a bit from time to time so that the things don't burn.

ONE! like back in the day with #Pidgin. That was great. Today is such a mess, but #Tangram improves the situation a lot.

Finally watching #ThreeBody. This is really great so far. I'm surprised. It feels like watching X-Files for the very first time back in the day. The writing is pretty good too, following the books fairly faithfully as far as I can tell. I was afraid they would leave out too much of the hard science/philosophy/politics of the original book. It looks really good too, cinematography-wise. CGI, less so. Very dramatic too, not bad acting. I hope it stays good.

Sometimes I feel guilty for having #ActuallyBipolar in my profile because nothing ever happens anymore but now a lot of the warning signs for #hypomania and a very slight #psychosis are showing up. I have doubts that this is the correct way to interpret what's happening anymore and I'm exploring that but it's basically the same thing that always happens anyway.

Don't worry. I have a concrete plan and support who has been alerted already.

If you agree that there are lesser and greater evils and you agree that being imprisoned, enslaved and killed is worse than being imprisoned and killed then why believe that being vegetarian is better than only eating meat (and not other animal products)? If you only ate meat, you'd only be imprisoning and killing animals, but if you only non-meat animal products, then you're necessarily doing that and enslaving animals, which seems worse.

Alright. I just finished the Dīgha Nikāya, the first volume of the Sutta Piṭaka of the Pāli Canon of #Buddhism.

Next up is the Majjhima Nikāya which will probably take me a lot longer since it's more than twice as long at 1424 pages in 5.75 x 9.00 inches while the Dīgha Nikāya is only 684 pages in 5.75 x 8.75 inches.
