I'm not sure what happened but YouTube is now recommending real actual fascism (like no exaggerations) channels to me now. What happened to the pipeline? I don't even watch Jordan Peterson or any of these freaks. They're just going to shove real fascism into people's faces now, skipping all the steps?

Okay, I finished reading the Majjhima Nikāya this morning. That means I'm approximately half way done with the Pali Canon of #Buddhism I started in October. Next up is the Samyutta Nikāya, which academics say is the oldest layer in the collection.

When you're failing a lot and feeling hopeless, watch this.

She failed every day for six years, until she didn't.

Also note how she says that she sees climbing as learning and she loves the process. Enjoy the process and don't be attached to outcomes. Intrinsic motivation is the killer app.

I figured out a practical way to reduce salt intake. What I do is note the date that I refill the salt shaker (100g salt) and then try to extend the amount of time it goes between refills gradually.

If you live with other people, then I guess you'd need your own personal salt shaker.

I'm having a fucking day with women. Catfished to a date this morning. Rejected massively elsewhere later. Tonight though takes the cake. My normal ex apparently knows who my very mysterious crazy ex is but refuses to tell what the deal is (there are serious questions to be answered) because she's jealous and thinks I'm still in love with the other one. 😆 This is happening while my friend's wife is texting me hitting on me 😭

You can't make this shit up. What the fuck? Why all today? One day.

Yo, this is fascinating.

If someone has an intrinsic motivation for something, and you start giving them extrinsic motivation (e.g. money or praise) then it seems like that can destroy the intrinsic motivation so that when you take away that extrinsic motivation then they lose all interest in the activity.

Depression is a tool. Depression is the world telling you that what you're doing isn't working and you need to change something. It's caused by stress. Stress = challenges - resources and when it passes a certain threshold, you get depressed in order to protect yourself. Step back, re-evaluate and choose a different strategy or tactic. Why? Because you'll feel better if you do and that's what you want: to feel better.

So, I think I'm going to get a 5. I heard the Camera is not amazing but it's got to be better than my ancient Samsung Xcover 5.

The main thing that sold me is that the USB port is replaceable. This is what always breaks on my phones.

Unfortunately, it's not as water-proof as an Xcover phone but the whole Xcover line seems pointless now since the phones don't last long and they're not really upgrading the hardware between generations.

Whoever needs to hear this... If you give up, then things will get worse. That's the second law of thermodynamics. Don't give up. Who knows, things might get better. If you're really though, it could very well mean that whatever you're doing isn't working. So, change something. I like to see depression as a tool these days. It's telling me something. I just have to read it right.
Signed sincerely, someone who spent decades depressed.

Honestly, some people's are just emotional disturbances and personality disorders. I get so tired of people not being able to have a conversation because they have a meltdown as soon as someone disagrees with them. Stop making excuses for people.

Finally watching . This is really great so far. I'm surprised. It feels like watching X-Files for the very first time back in the day. The writing is pretty good too, following the books fairly faithfully as far as I can tell. I was afraid they would leave out too much of the hard science/philosophy/politics of the original book. It looks really good too, cinematography-wise. CGI, less so. Very dramatic too, not bad acting. I hope it stays good.
