One of the things I love is when a noob starts watching Trek shows for the first time, and they're like, This is so silly, it's ridiculous, that guy turned into a lizard and impregnated his captain, that lady got possessed by a sex ghost that belonged to her grandma, the captain is sorting a room full of floofy guinea pigs, the ship runs on mushrooms, this theme song makes no sense, and I'm just like Yeah, isn't it great?! You either get it or you don't, I don't know what to tell you.

That's a false dichotomy. I certainly can ask those things.
The other points are straw men.
What you are doing is saying because one thing is bad, then the other demonstrably far worse thing is the same.
Trump will wreck havoc upon the country and will only encourage more genocide. So the choice is between enthusiastic support for genocide, along with creating more oppression and inhumanity. You choose to make the perfect then enemy of improvement

When Trump wins and you see a 14 year old pulled out of school and sent to a country they don't remember along with their parents. When you see sweeps of "illegal immigrants" sending them off to detention centers. When you see a 8 year old citizen's parents taken away, explain to them that you have principals, That you voted to stop genocide. Then prepare your answer when they say "but the genocide has continued with new fervor."

I learned something new about #oregon DMV law. If you buy a car, and don't register it, all your parking tickets go to the previous owner! And there is no way anyone can change that! The previous owner has to pay your parking tickets forever.

You can request a document from the DMV that shows you're not the legal owner anymore, it costs $4, and they never send it to you. You can request it again and pay another $4!

Maybe I'll just report the car stolen, since DMV still shows me as the owner.
