chaotic day today, bus driver genuinely missed a turn and had to drive on the freeway to make a turn causing a 10 minute delay lol

turns out that my bank, without my consent, has been charging the wrong accounts :/

this now means that instead of using a shared account i have with my partner, it's charged only my savings. my partner now owes me a surprise 500 EUR 😬

NEVER assume I want you to make a decision for me, NEVER make a decision with bullshit AI that I don't want

the worst is, I cannot trust their card statements either, because they report funny, i'm getting increasingly more nervous for doing my accounting :/

in you need to keep your 3d filament (the ink basically) super dry, because it absorbs water, which makes it brittle and generally fucks with it

a lot of people come up with very expensive or complicated solutions. i just bought a 10EUR back of 1kg re-usable gel silica used to dehydrate car interiors, but it in an airtight-ish ikea box and my humidity reader is struggling to read the humidity because it's too low ✨

Isn't Stack Overflow acting like they own content users wrote against the law? Like I'm aware it doesn't matter unless someone takes them to court over it but I'm pretty sure when someone creates a post they own that work, not the site it was posted to

EDIT: And no I don't consider putting "all content submitted now belongs to us" in your TOS or EULA as a valid legal strategy to obtain ownership, for many reasons including that this is almost certainly an overreach of an agreement that courts have repeatedly said nobody actually reads, but also because as I understand it there are many countries where copyright can never be fully transferred from the original creator to 3rd parties

@eniko they will probably cite their terms & agreements saying that users gave an irrevocable license towards their content on the website

which would hold, if it wasn't for GDPR and/or other privacy laws e.g "Right to be Forgotten"

Hi! Do you do in ( or not) and have cool gameplay footage to show off?

I've gotten a request from the organizers for clips to roll between talks! This seems like a fun idea, so I'm putting out a call for short, appealing gameplay clips with some form of credits on them. Get them to me (maybe post them as a reply?) within the next 24-48 hours and I'll get them to the organizers.

@alice_i_cecile We use it to parse and run our exports for Articy (https://www.articy.com/en/), but since there was no support at the time when we started, I wrote it in Rust, so that I didn't have to worry about runtime problems, since compiling gave a lot of security for free ✨

Recently we've been using as a way to guarantee safe relationships between items when a player crafts or disassembles an item. Keeping track of this in would've been very error prone :)

: users that still prefer software, what is your preferred video editor?

I'm trying to find something that has decent UX and just does light video editing, I don't need something to rival Adobe Premiere, but something that just makes it really easy to cut and spit out a nice lil video.

Anyone have recommendations? (feel free to boost as well :)
