I turned the new 13" iPad Pro into a MacPad as well as a portable gaming display.

Man,Nilay is just so good. He asked Google CEO Sundar Pichai how he felt when he learned OpenAI had trained their Sora video generation tool on YouTube without asking permission. Nilay then perfectly shifts to making him comment on how others might feel the same as him when Google trains on their data without approval.

Saw a clip of the Agatha series actors bragging that the show has very little CG. The magic was all…practical. Who cares? What is this obsession? CG is only an issue for the director and creative people on the movie and accountants, and if it distracts by looking unreal while watching a TV show or movie. I understand that for actors and post-production, having more real and in-camera elements makes their job easier? But it feels like an agenda by producers to have a drumbeat of "no CG, no VFX" for some reason—because of the toxic masculine social media film criticism culture’s weird VFX stance, which parallels the misogyny of that culture.

American author E. E. Smith was born in 1890.

E. E. "Doc" Smith is considered a major figure in the history of science fiction literature, particularly for his development of the space opera genre. His first major work, "The Skylark of Space" (1928), is often considered one of the first space operas. Perhaps his most famous work, the Lensman series, began with "Triplanetary" in 1934.
