Uh, Element on my desktop is stuck being 1 pixel wide. I can't resize it horizontally at all, even if I right-click on it in the dock and select resize in the actions menu

Does anyone know of a file recovery solution for Linux that works and doesn't require you to image the disk first?

Something went wrong with Steam Cloud and after I fixed my Oblivion installation all my saves except for the last one (which was an autosave made on a different character at the very start of the game) are gone πŸ₯²

I had stuff going as far back as 2012, I wasn't ever gonna play those saves again but old save files have sentimental value for me :(

Honestly the thing that amazes me the most is that it was made in HTML and I wouldn't even know if it wasn't brought up on one of the splash screens

I recently noticed that the State of Illinois has changed the font of the stamping on license plates.

The design is the same, but the stamped text is a bit thinner and the glyphs are blockier.

I am surprised how much this change is bothering me, to be honest. It has never occurred to me how much that is a defining feature. The first one I saw I assumed had to be fake!

@TechConnectify @mark @nowster here in Romania it's even more ridiculous - the technically belonging to the car, but you're required to take the plates off and return them to the registration authority when you sell the car.

The new owner can then explicitly request to use the same number, and I think end up picking up the same plates that were dropped off by the person they got the car from but with an extra trip and paperwork involved πŸ’€

Can someone recommend a blogging platform? Ideally a federated one?

I talk a lot about games I play and stuff and sometimes I feel limited by the character limit here (and also some people hate it when others make long posts for some reason?), and I don't wanna use Wordpress or have the energy to set up a proper static blog.

So might as well just, have a blog where I talk about old games and stuff lol

One of my pet peeves is someone taking a screenshot of an article or tweet or whatever and then not taking the extra three seconds to copy and paste the text of what you screenshotted into the alt field when uploading that screenshot. It literally takes no effort to copy and paste the text. I don’t understand it.
