I was cuddling with my cat Tennessee, giving him tummy rubs, and found myself singing to him “Yummy yummy yummy I’ve got love in my tummy, and I feel like loving you.”
Where did that memory come from? (And can it please disappear?) Does this qualify as a #ThrowbackThursday post?
@KrissyKat Wow, I never noticed that about "Back in the USSR." I guess I didn't pay much attention to the opening of "Yummy Yummy Yummy" because listening now it's obvious.
We're brand new here, so we thought we'd thought we'd share an #introduction !
Who we are: a 25-year old non-profit vet clinic in the East Bay dedicated to making high-quality surgical care accessible to all.
What we do: We never turn anyone away for lack of funds: since 2014, Animal Fix Clinic has performed more than 50,000 life-saving and life-changing spay/neuter surgeries at low or no cost.
Even though our work focuses on helping animals, it's really about helping people make good decisions for the animals they love without considering cost. We keep pets with their families where they belong.
Right now, we're working to renovate the former Contra Costa Pinole shelter into our full-time, permanent home!
Why you should follow us: We know that many of you love #catsofmastodon and #dogsofmastodon so we hope we can become friends.
We promise cute pictures and progress of construction on our new clinic.
I'm generally skeptical of organizations announcing their green and/or climate-friendly initiatives, but it seems like Eurostar is really doing a lot of good stuff.
@me_valentijn@ai6yr I’m sitting in my car waiting for my cat’s ultrasound to be done, and I just watched that Trevor Noah clip. And sure enough, I sang the pum-pum-pum when the song came to that. I’m not sure how I got conditioned to do that; I certainly didn’t hear it in a bar.
@Clobber I don't know anything about IXL, but given this move I assume they're another horrible company, Would you be up to giving me a quick update on what's up with IXL?
@JohnJBurnsIII I'm so sorry. I hope you found another good vet to patronize.
So far, I've been lucky. My wonderful local vet sold her practice when she retired, but she tried to pick a decent chain to sell to. I've got a great vet there, and I sure hope she stays.
